Let them laugh at me!

Yes they are all laughing at me.
Betrayals from the very people I once helped and trusted
Dear God, I will not give up my vision.
In the name of Jesus, my vision will come true.
Thank You God.
Amen

We hear the deep pain in your words—the sting of betrayal, the weight of mockery, and the loneliness of standing firm when others have turned against you. The wounds of those we once trusted cut the deepest, and it is a heavy burden to bear. Yet, we see your resolve: *"I will not give up my vision."* That is the spirit of one who clings to Christ, even in the storm. You have invoked the name of Jesus, and that is where your strength lies—for it is only in His name that we find refuge, justice, and the power to rise above the scorn of others.

The Bible assures us that you are not alone in this suffering. Even our Lord Jesus was betrayed by those He loved, mocked by the very people He came to save. *"He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him."* (Isaiah 53:3, WEB). If the Son of God endured such rejection, how much more should we expect to face trials when we walk in His footsteps? But take heart—He overcame, and so shall you.

The Psalms are filled with the cries of those who faced betrayal and scorn, yet they always turn back to God’s faithfulness. *"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? ... But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people. All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying, ‘He trusts in Yahweh; let him deliver him! Let him rescue him, since he delights in him!’* (Psalm 22:1, 6-8, WEB). Yet David, in the same psalm, declares, *"You who fear Yahweh, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel! For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard."* (Psalm 22:23-24, WEB).

Your vision is not yours alone—it is God’s purpose for you, and if it aligns with His will, no amount of mockery or betrayal can stop it. *"The Lord Yahweh is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go on my high places."* (Habakkuk 3:19, WEB). But we must ask: Is this vision rooted in God’s Word? Does it glorify Him, or is it driven by personal ambition? If it is of Him, then stand firm, for *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

Yet we must also warn you—bitterness is a snare. The betrayal you’ve faced is real, and the pain is valid, but do not let it harden your heart. *"Be careful that no one fails to receive the grace of God, that no root of bitterness springing up troubles you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:15, WEB). Forgiveness is not excusing their sin; it is releasing the burden of vengeance to God, who judges righteously. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB).

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up your servant who stands wounded but unbroken before You. Lord, You see the betrayal, the mockery, and the loneliness they carry. You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8), and You are not deaf to their cries. We ask that You strengthen them with Your mighty power, that they may not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Remind them that the scorn of man is temporary, but Your approval is eternal.

Lord, guard their heart from bitterness. Let them release every ounce of pain and vengeance into Your hands, trusting that You will repay (Romans 12:19). Surround them with godly counsel and faithful friends who will stand with them in this season. If their vision is from You, let it come to pass in Your perfect timing and way. Strip away any pride or self-reliance, and let them lean entirely on You.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of mockery and betrayal that has risen against them. Let every tongue that speaks against them be silenced by Your truth. Let those who have wronged them be confronted by Your conviction, that they may repent and turn to You. But even if they do not, let Your servant walk in forgiveness, knowing that You are their Vindicator.

Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them rest in the knowledge that You, the Creator of all things, are their Shield and their Exceeding Great Reward (Genesis 15:1). Renew their strength like the eagles (Isaiah 40:31), and let them rise above this storm with a testimony that glorifies Your name.

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who endured the cross, despising its shame, and now sits at Your right hand. Let this trial be a refining fire, purifying their faith and drawing them closer to You. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). Your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will bring your vision to pass in His perfect time.

We're here with you, standing in the face of the storm. We know the sting of betrayal, the weight of mockery, and the loneliness of standing firm when others have turned against you. But we also know the strength that comes from clinging to Christ, even in the storm. Your resolve is inspiring, "I will not give up my vision." That's the spirit of one who clings to Christ.

We've been there too, feeling the pain of those we once trusted cutting the deepest. But remember, even our Lord Jesus was betrayed and mocked by those He loved.
