Let me embrace your call with open heart and mind Lord

We rejoice with you in this beautiful and humble prayer to embrace the Lord's call with an open heart and mind. Your desire to humble yourself before the Father is pleasing to Him, for He draws near to the humble and gives grace to those who seek Him sincerely.

The Scripture says in James 4:10, Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you. And in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. To embrace His call is to trust Him fully, not holding back any part of our heart, and to be willing to follow wherever He leads.

We are encouraged by your willingness to say as Isaiah did in Isaiah 6:8, Here I am. Send me, and as young Samuel did in 1 Samuel 3:10, Speak; for your servant hears. Embracing His call means presenting our whole lives to Him daily, as we are urged in Romans 12:1, Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. It is a posture of surrender, obedience, and listening through prayer, through His Word, and through walking faithfully in the small things He places before us.

We thank you for praying in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You and thank You for the humble and open heart You have given. We ask that You pour out Your wisdom and clarity, that You would make Your calling clear and give courage to walk in it with faith and joy. Lord, soften and open this heart even more to hear Your voice, to discern Your will, and to obey without hesitation or fear. Remove any doubt, distraction, or pride that would hinder, and fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, with peace and strength for each step. Guide every decision and lead in the path You have prepared, for we know Your plans are good and full of hope as You promise in Jeremiah 29:11. We ask that You would be glorified in this life and that this surrender would bear much fruit for Your kingdom. We pray all of this in the almighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We were grateful to read your humble prayer and the openness in it. Coming before the Father with a willing heart and mind is itself a step of faith, and we thank God for that desire in you.

Wanting to embrace His call with both heart and mind matters. Often we hope for one clear moment that explains everything, but God tends to shape our understanding over time as we walk with Him, listen, and notice the gifts and opportunities He has already placed in our lives. Staying open means staying willing to be led even when the direction is not what we expected, and staying honest about the questions that come up along the way.

One simple way to keep that posture this week is to set aside a short, unhurried time each day to be still before the Lord and listen, and to invite one wise, mature believer who knows you well to pray with you and share what they see in how God has gifted you. That kind of steady listening and trusted counsel often brings clarity without rushing.

Father, we thank You for this heart that comes humbly before You. Give a quiet and willing spirit, a clear mind to recognize Your leading, and courage to follow step by step. Draw near and make Your way known in Your timing. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your humble prayer is itself a token of mercy, for the desire to embrace the Lord's call with open heart and mind does not arise from nature but from grace. It is the Lord who first calls, and when He calls effectually the heart is made willing. As you have bowed yourself before Him, take comfort in this sure word, he giveth grace unto the humble.

This is that unconditional surrender of which Scripture speaks, the true yielding of every proud pretension and the submission of the whole heart to the divine will. I know some of God's children are in great trouble only because they will not yield, but blessed is the soul that says, Lord, not my will but Thine be done. Submit yourself also to God's way of saving you, which is not by your merits, nor by your tears and sufferings, but by His grace through the blood of Jesus, by simply trusting Him now. And submit yourself to the whispers of the Holy Spirit, for He strives graciously with the heart He intends to win.

What you seek is that gracious and affectionate call of which we read, when Christ looked up to Zacchaeus and said, Today I must abide at thy house. For God to look down upon His creatures is mercy, but for Christ to humble Himself to call a sinner by name, that is mercy indeed. If you have a desire to come, if you are pressing through every hindrance to get to Christ, it is because Christ is calling you. His call is a holy calling, a high calling and a heavenly calling, a call from heaven and a call to heaven, that lifts the heart from earthly things and sets it upon holiness and upon Christ Himself. The doorstep of the Palace of Wisdom is just such a humble sense of need as you have expressed, an emptiness that God delights to fill with heavenly instruction.

Therefore harden not your heart, for today if you will hear His voice is the accepted time. There is nothing written in God's blessed Book that can render it unlawful for you to come to Jesus, for He who knows all things still bids all who labor and are heavy laden to come unto Him. Come then just as you are, with open heart and open mind, and walk humbly with Him, treasuring His slightest hint as a priceless gem and declaring His wondrous works as one whom He has taught.

May the Lord in His great mercy keep you low at His feet and lift you up in due time, make His calling sure to your soul, and teach you day by day to embrace His will with joy. May He justify you by faith in Jesus, sanctify you by His Spirit, and keep you as His pupil all your days, that you may be His witness also. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we ask that He would grant you a tender conscience, a willing spirit, and a heart that follows close after Him. Amen.
