Let Jesus Be Your Comfort

We all need comfort at one time or another. You may have lost a job, or maybe the bank is foreclosing on your home or maybe you have lost a loved one. It’s always nice to have someone to comfort you. But sometimes there is no one around when you need to be comforted.

My friend, Let me introduce you to someone that will always be there every time you need to be comforted. His name is Jesus Christ.

Friends won’t always be there and when they are, do they really know what you need to hear? Jesus Knows.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.” (Psalms 46:1-3).

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22).

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14).

He’s been there and knows what you are going through. Trust Him. Ask Jesus into your life. Will you repent toward God and receive Christ as your savior? Rejoice as you allow him to do for you what he has done for me.

You may receive Christ this moment by praying this prayer right now:

“Dear Jesus, forgive me of all my sins and save my soul. I repent of all my sins and ask you to come into my heart. I believe you are my Lord and that you were raised from the dead. I ask that you lead me, protect me, and guide me all the days of my life. Thank you for hearing my prayer and saving my soul. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

If you have invited Jesus Christ into your life, the Bible says you now have eternal life. You should now live for Him and allow Him to change your life.
“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12

This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. To deepen this relationship you should:

  1. Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better.
  2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
  3. Be water baptized.
  4. Tell others about Christ.
  5. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church were Christ is preached.
  6. As Christ’s representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
God bless you.
