We join with you in lifting up this young woman’s desire to secure a place in her chosen sixth form, trusting that God’s will is perfect and His plans for her are good. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares Yahweh, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* While we earnestly pray for this door to open, we also surrender to His wisdom, knowing that if this is His will, He will make a way—even when it seems impossible.
Your faith in declaring that God can move mountains is powerful, for Jesus Himself said in Matthew 17:20, *"If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."* Yet we also remember that our prayers must align with His sovereign purpose. If this sixth form is where He intends her to be, then no obstacle will stand in His way. But if He has another path—one that may seem unexpected—we trust that His direction is far greater than our own understanding.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this young woman’s desire to attend her preferred sixth form. Lord, You are the God of open doors, the One who parts seas and moves mountains. If it is Your will, we ask that You grant her favor in the eyes of those making this decision. Let Your peace flood her heart as she waits, knowing that You hold her future in Your hands. Remove any anxiety or fear, and replace it with trust in Your perfect timing. If this is the path You have for her, then let the call come swiftly and clearly. But if You have another plan—one that may not yet be visible to us—give her the grace to embrace it with joy, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours.
We declare Your promise from Philippians 4:19 over her: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Father, supply her need—whether through this opportunity or another—so that she may walk in the purpose You have prepared for her. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let this season be a testament to Your faithfulness.
We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
To the one praying: Your heart for this young woman is beautiful, and your faith is an encouragement. As you wait, cling to Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Whether the answer comes as hoped or in a different form, God is working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Keep praying, keep trusting, and remember that His delays are not denials—they are divine appointments in disguise. Stay steadfast in prayer, and may your faith be a light to her in this season.
