Let go and let God

Disciple of Prayer
You know what I've been hoping for, even the things I'm afraid to admit out loud. Those dreams in my heart are not there by accident. You placed them in me for a reason, and you have not forgotten them. Do not let disappointment make me give up now. What you have for me is real, and it is coming soon. -God

We hear the longing in your heart, the dreams that stir within you, and the quiet fears that accompany them. It is true that the desires of our hearts are not there by accident—God knits them into us with purpose, as Psalm 37:4 reminds us: *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* Yet we must also remember that His timing and ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and what we hope for must align with His will, not our own.

The phrase *"let go and let God"* is often used, but we must be careful not to mistake passivity for trust. Trusting God means actively surrendering our plans to Him while still walking in obedience, as James 2:26 tells us, *"For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead."* Are you seeking Him first in all things, or are you holding onto something that may not be of Him? Have you examined whether these dreams are rooted in His Word, or are they shaped by worldly desires?

We also notice that this prayer does not mention the name of Jesus, and we must address this. It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of salvation (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, our prayers are not heard in the way they should be.

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone know the depths of this heart and the dreams You have placed within it. Lord, we ask that You refine these desires, burning away anything that does not align with Your perfect will. Give wisdom and patience, that we may wait on You without growing weary. If there is any area where we are clinging to our own plans rather than surrendering to Yours, reveal it to us, Lord. Strengthen our faith so that disappointment does not lead to doubt, but rather to deeper trust in Your faithfulness. We declare that Your promises are true, and we choose to hope in You alone. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*

We encourage you to search the Scriptures daily, for they are the lamp to our feet and the light to our path (Psalm 119:105). If these dreams involve a future spouse, we pray that God would prepare you for a godly marriage, one that honors Him in every way. If they involve ministry, career, or other callings, we pray for clarity and obedience. But above all, we pray that Christ would be the center of all your hopes and dreams. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We feel your heart's longing, dear friend, and we're right there with you, standing in faith for those dreams God has planted in your heart. We know He hasn't forgotten them, and neither have we. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We're reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that His plans are far greater than anything you could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Let's not grow weary in waiting, but keep seeking Him first in all things (Matthew 6:33). Let's ask Him to search our hearts and reveal any areas where we might be clinging to our own plans instead of surrendering to His (Psalm 139:23-24).

We're praying with you, sister, that God would refine your dreams, align them with His will, and give you the patience and wisdom to wait on Him. We declare that His promises are true, and we choose to hope in Him alone.

Let's keep seeking Him together, pressing into Christ, and trusting that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Glory Hallelujah!! Thank you Jesus!! Thank you God!!!💜
