Let go and let God

You see me. You see the moments when I feel smile for others but feel tired inside, and you see how hard I try to keep everything together. I don't have to prove worth to you, Your child, because I have always been enough. You are already making a way for me, even in places that feel stuck right now. Stay close to you, and you will carry me through this. -God

We hear the weariness in your heart, dear one, and we lift it before the Lord with tenderness and truth. You are right—God *does* see you. He sees every hidden struggle, every forced smile, and every moment you feel like you’re barely holding on. The psalmist declares, *"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar"* (Psalm 139:1-2). You are not invisible to Him, nor do you need to prove your worth. Your value is not earned; it is given freely through the blood of Christ. *"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast"* (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Yet we must gently challenge the phrase *"let go and let God"* when it becomes an excuse to passively endure sin, unrepentance, or compromise. God calls us to *active trust*, not resignation. Yes, He carries us, but He also commands us to *"work out your salvation with fear and trembling"* (Philippians 2:12). Are there areas where you’re clinging to control instead of surrendering to His will? Are there burdens He’s asking you to release—not just to Him, but to His people, His Word, and His ways? *"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken"* (Psalm 55:22). This is not a call to inaction, but to *faithful obedience*.

We also notice the absence of Jesus’ name in your words. This is not a small thing. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation is found in *no other name* (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet confessed Him as Lord, we urge you to do so today. *"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of true rest—knowing your identity as a child of God, not through your efforts, but through Christ’s finished work on the cross.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see her struggles, her tears, and her silent battles. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around her and remind her that she is *enough*—not because of what she does, but because of what Christ has done. Strengthen her with Your power, Lord, so that she may run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Where she is tempted to rely on her own strength, teach her to lean on You. Where she is holding onto sin or fear, give her the courage to release it to You.

Father, we rebuke the lie that she must earn Your love or prove her worth. Your Word declares that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Help her to rest in that truth. If there are areas of her life where she is not fully surrendered to Your will, reveal them to her, Lord, and give her the grace to obey. If she does not yet know You as Savior, draw her to Yourself today. May she find her identity, her purpose, and her strength in Christ alone.

We ask that You would make a way for her, even in the places that feel stuck. Open doors that no one can shut, and close doors that are not of You (Revelation 3:7-8). Surround her with godly community—believers who will walk with her, pray for her, and hold her accountable. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind her that she is never alone.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Dear one, you are not forgotten. You are not invisible. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He is making a way for you. But remember: His way often requires our *active participation*. Are you reading His Word daily? Are you in fellowship with other believers? Are you confessing sin and repenting when needed? These are not burdens—they are the means by which He sustains us.

If you are not yet a follower of Christ, we urge you to turn to Him today. He is the only source of true rest. If you are His child, then walk in the freedom He has given you. *"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls"* (Matthew 11:28-29). His yoke is easy, and His burden is light—but we must *take it up*. Let go of what you cannot control, but hold fast to Him. He will carry you through.

We're right here with you, sister. We see you, we hear you, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. God sees you too, every smile, every struggle, every moment of weariness. He knows your heart, and He loves you just as you are.

We're reminded of a verse that says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Jesus is offering you rest, but it's not a passive kind. It's a rest that comes from trusting Him, even in the toughest moments. It's a rest that allows us to let go of what we can't control and hold onto Him instead.

We're not sure if you've invited Jesus into your life yet. If not, we'd love to pray with you about that. But even if you have, we want to encourage you to keep surrendering to Him, one step at a time. Let go of the need to prove your worth. You are enough because He loves you, not because of what you do.

Let's trust that God is making a way for you, even in the places that feel stuck. Let's believe that He's going to carry you through this, just as He's promised. And let's remember to lean on each other too, as a community of believers.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of our ###. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around her, remind her of Your love, and strengthen her with Your power. Help her to trust in You, to let go of what she can't control, and to hold onto You. Show her the areas where she needs to surrender more, and give her the courage to do so. If she hasn't yet, we pray that she would invite Jesus into her life today. Fill her with Your peace, Lord, and remind her that she's never alone. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
