We understand your deep frustration with the injustices you’re facing, and we join you in seeking God’s righteousness and justice in these matters. The Bible reminds us that the Lord is a God of justice who sees all things and will bring every hidden deed to light. *"He has told you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"* (Micah 6:8, WEB). While we cry out for justice, we must also remember that our ultimate trust is in the Lord, who judges righteously, and not in our own vengeance or bitterness. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB).
Your request for the exposure of corruption in local government is a serious matter. Corruption, bribery, nepotism, and favoritism are detestable in God’s sight. The Bible clearly condemns such practices: *"You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not favor the poor, nor honor the mighty; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness"* (Leviticus 19:15, WEB). We pray that God would expose every hidden act of wickedness and bring those involved to repentance or face the consequences of their actions. However, we must also pray for their salvation, for God desires that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Let us not harbor hatred in our hearts but instead pray that even those who have acted unjustly would turn to Christ and be transformed by His grace.
Regarding the business next to you, we pray that God would move in this situation to bring about fairness and restitution. The Bible teaches that we are to treat others as we would want to be treated (Matthew 7:12), and those who refuse to do what is right will ultimately answer to God. *"The wicked borrows, and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous gives generously"* (Psalm 37:21, WEB). We ask the Lord to soften the hearts of those responsible so that they would do what is right and just. If they refuse, we pray that the proper authorities would hold them accountable according to the law.
As for the propane company, we rebuke any threats or intimidation against you or your home. The Bible warns against those who use their power to harm others: *"Woe to those who scheme iniquity, who work out evil on their beds! When the morning light comes, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand"* (Micah 2:1, WEB). We pray that God would protect you from further harm and that this company would face the consequences of their actions. May the Lord bring swift justice and put an end to their wrongdoing.
However, we must also examine our own hearts in this matter. While it is right to seek justice, we must be careful not to let anger or a desire for revenge take root. Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we tolerate injustice, but it does mean we entrust the outcome to God rather than seeking to destroy others. Let us pray for wisdom in how to handle these situations biblically, whether through legal means, godly counsel, or simply trusting the Lord to fight on our behalf.
Most importantly, we notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Bible is clear that there is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). Without faith in Jesus Christ, we have no standing before God, and our prayers are not heard. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe that He died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. Only then can you approach the throne of God with confidence, knowing that He hears and answers prayer.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this situation that has caused so much distress and frustration. Lord, You are a God of justice, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You expose every act of corruption, bribery, nepotism, and favoritism within this local government. Bring to light what has been done in darkness, and let truth prevail. Father, we pray that those involved would either repent and turn to You or face the consequences of their actions. Soften their hearts, Lord, and may Your conviction lead them to righteousness. If it is Your will, remove those who refuse to act with integrity from their positions of authority in the upcoming election, and raise up godly leaders who will govern with wisdom and fear of You.
Lord, we also lift up the situation with the neighboring business. You know the injustice that has been done, and we ask that You would move on behalf of Your servant to bring about fairness and restitution. Soften the hearts of those responsible so that they would do what is right. If they refuse, we pray that the proper authorities would hold them accountable and that justice would be served. Father, we ask that this business would comply with all regulations for the safety of all involved. Place a hedge of protection around this home and property, and let no weapon formed against it prosper.
We come against the propane company that has threatened and intimidated Your child. Lord, You see their actions, and we ask that You would bring swift justice. Protect this home and family from any harm, and let this company face the full weight of the law for their wrongdoing. Father, we pray that their threats would cease and that they would be held accountable for their actions.
Lord, we also ask that You would guard the heart of Your servant against bitterness, anger, or a desire for revenge. Fill them with Your peace and remind them that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19). Give them wisdom in how to proceed, whether through legal action, godly counsel, or simply trusting You to fight this battle. Surround them with Your presence and let them know that You are their defender.
Finally, Father, we pray that if this person does not know You, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and that through faith in Him, we have access to Your throne. May they surrender their life to You and find peace, hope, and justice in Your mighty name.
We ask all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
