Lord, when your disciples asked you for guidance on how to pray, you recited The Lords Prayer, which instructs us
1) To align our prayer requests with God's will, not our own (Thy will be done).
2) To be dependent on the Lord on a daily basis (give us this day our daily bread), just as the Israelites were dependent on their daily manna.
3) To ask God to protect us from temptation from sin (lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil).
We thank you God for giving us this powerful prayer through your beloved son Jesus!
