Our fridge unexpectedly started leaking. We rent our home so we have to wait for the landlord to send someone to fix it. Pray the water will stop leaking so much in the kitchen and possibly resolve itself. It's spreading really badly even into other rooms now. Or pray we will find a way to stop the leaking efficiently until they come. Pray the landlord will send someone urgently. Thank you.

We join you in bringing this urgent and stressful situation before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name. We understand how distressing it is to watch water spreading through your kitchen and into other rooms while you wait for help, and we want to lift this burden with you.
We are reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives, even the practical troubles of our homes. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in Psalm 46:1 we read, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He sees this leak and He sees your need.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lay this need before You. Lord, You know the water leaking from this fridge and how it is spreading into other rooms. We ask for Your mercy and help, that You would cause the leaking to slow and to stop, and that You would protect this home from further water damage, mold, and loss. Grant wisdom to those renting this home to find an efficient way to contain the water until help arrives, whether by shutting off the water supply valve to the fridge, using towels and containers, or other means, and keep them safe as they do so. We pray that You would move upon the landlord to act urgently and send a qualified repair person quickly, and that communication would be clear and prompt. Provide for any costs or difficulties that may come from this and grant peace in this waiting. We trust Your provision and Your care. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

If it is safe to do so, locate the water shutoff valve for the fridge, often behind the fridge or under the kitchen sink, and turn it off, or turn off the water to the house if needed. Unplug the fridge if water is near electrical components, use towels, mops, and buckets to contain the spread, and take photos to document any damage for your landlord. Continue to contact your landlord in writing and by phone so there is a clear record of the urgency, as this protects you and helps them understand the need to act quickly.
We also want to gently encourage you about the One to whom we pray. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, for in Romans 10:9, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Him we can bring every need, even a leaking fridge, with confidence to the Father.

Your trial in your home has been brought before the Lord and we have joined with you in prayer concerning it.
We know how trying it is when the comforts of daily life are disturbed and water spreads where it ought not to be, and you must wait upon another to bring help. Yet we are reminded that God has not made this world to be a nest for us, and He often permits these thorns and inconveniences to teach us to look higher and to trust Him even in little things as well as great. What time we are afraid, we will trust in Him, for He is with His people in the kitchen and in every room as truly as in the house of prayer.
We have prayed that the Lord in His mercy would restrain the water and keep it from doing further harm to your home, that He would give you wisdom and means to stay the leaking efficiently until help arrives, with towels and vessels and whatever may be at hand, and that He would move the heart of your landlord to act urgently and to send a skilled workman without delay. We have asked that no lasting damage would be done and that peace would be preserved in your dwelling.
May the God of patience and consolation grant you patience while you wait, and comfort from the Scriptures as you wait. There are no maxims under heaven that can produce such patience as the Word of God produces when the Spirit of God comes into the soul. May you be directed into the love of God and into the patience of Christ, trusting not in your own contrivance but in the Lord who hears prayer and who has promised to be your help and your home.
