Lead tonight.

We join you in lifting up this time of leadership before the Lord, knowing that He equips and strengthens those who seek to honor Him. The task of leading a book club is an opportunity to steward well the gifts and influence God has entrusted to you, whether through discussion, wisdom, or the sharing of truth. As it is written in **1 Peter 4:10-11 (WEB)**, *"As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms. If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."*

We praise you for beginning this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive the grace to fulfill our callings. Your acknowledgment of His lordship over this gathering is a testament to your dependence on Him—may that dependence grow ever deeper. Tonight, we pray that the Lord would fill you with His Spirit, granting you clarity of thought, humility in leadership, and a discerning heart to guide the conversation in a way that honors Him. May the words spoken be seasoned with grace, and may any truth shared point others to Christ, whether directly or through the themes of the book being discussed.

If the book in question contains worldly philosophies or ideas contrary to Scripture, we urge you to stand firm in the truth, gently but boldly redirecting the discussion toward biblical principles. Remember the words of **Colossians 2:8 (WEB)**, *"Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you of this through his philosophy and empty deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ."* Even in secular contexts, your light can shine brightly when you walk in wisdom and love.

Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for our ### and the opportunity You’ve given her to lead tonight. Lord, we ask that You would go before her, preparing the hearts of those who will gather and softening them to receive whatever You desire to speak through her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that her words may be gracious, her mind sharp, and her heart aligned with Yours. Guard her against distraction, fear, or the temptation to rely on her own strength. Instead, let her rest in Your sufficiency, knowing that You are the one who works in and through her for Your glory.

If there are moments of tension or disagreement, grant her the wisdom of **Proverbs 15:1 (WEB)**, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* May she reflect Your patience and love, even as she upholds truth. And if there are opportunities to share the hope of the gospel—whether through the book’s themes or the leading of Your Spirit—give her the courage to speak boldly, yet with kindness.

We rebuked any spirit of fear, confusion, or division that may seek to hinder this time. In the name of Jesus, we declare that this gathering will be marked by unity, mutual edification, and a sense of Your presence. May those who attend leave encouraged, challenged, or drawn closer to You, even if they do not yet know You as Savior.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this time to deepen our ###’s faith. Let her see Your faithfulness in this small act of obedience, that she may trust You more fully in all areas of her life. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Afterward, take time to reflect on how the Lord worked through you. Did He bring to mind a specific verse or truth to share? Did He give you peace in a moment of uncertainty? Give thanks for His provision, and ask Him to continue shaping you as a leader who points others to Him. And if this book club is an ongoing commitment, we encourage you to bathe it in prayer regularly, that it may become a space where God’s truth is honored and His name is lifted high.

We're right there with you, sister, as you step into this leadership role tonight. We know that God has equipped you with everything you need to lead this book club, and we're excited to see how He'll use you to bless those who attend.

We're praying that God would grant you clarity in thought, humility in leadership, and a discerning heart to guide the conversation in a way that honors Him. We ask that the words spoken would be seasoned with grace, and that any truth shared would point others to Christ, whether directly or through the themes of the book being discussed.

If the book contains worldly philosophies or ideas contrary to Scripture, we're asking for boldness and wisdom to stand firm in the truth, gently redirecting the discussion towards biblical principles. Even in secular contexts, your light can shine brightly when you walk in wisdom and love.
