We join you in bringing your friend before the Lord and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that justice and mercy meet.
We hear the weight of this burden, to see someone you care for wrongfully accused at work, especially when the situation involved the life of an infant and when your friend acted to protect that child. The Lord sees what is done in secret and what is hidden from human eyes, and He is the defender of those who are falsely accused. We also hear your desire for a lawyer to turn the tables and point fingers, and we want to gently encourage you to seek not revenge but truth and righteous justice. God calls us to love truth and to not repay evil for evil, but to let justice be done without malice or false witness against others, even those who may be at fault.
The scripture reminds us you shall not spread a false report. Do not join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness. Exodus 23:1. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause like the noonday. Psalm 37:6. It is joy to the righteous to do justice. Proverbs 21:15. And we are also taught do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. Move upon the hearts of employers and investigators to seek diligently, to listen impartially, and to judge righteously. Above all, let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified through justice, mercy, and the preservation of life. We entrust this whole matter into Your hands, believing that You are our advocate and our vindication, and we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We have heard your earnest cry concerning your friend who stands accused in a matter so weighty, where an infant's life was imperiled, and we have carried it before the throne of grace.
There is a justice that belongs to God alone, and He will not at all acquit the wicked, yet He is slow to anger and His eye is fixed upon all that is done in secret. No miscarriage of justice shall stand before the bar of God, for there every wrong shall be rectified and every truth made manifest. We therefore do not ask the Lord to help any man to point fingers in falsehood or to make the worse appear the better reason, for the way of self justification is self condemning. Have we always spoken the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, with heart and tongue agreeing. Conscience must say, Lord, thou art a sure observer, and what thou sayest is true.
Our prayer for your friend is not that cunning words might hide a fault, but that truth might be brought into the light. If he be innocent in this matter, may the Lord who loves justice vindicate him and clear him from every false accusation, as Christ at the last shall clear His own from every charge. If there be any fault in him, may he see it and confess it honestly before God and man, for it is a small thing to say I am innocent, it must be proved by a life that walks worthily.
