Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this so honestly, even though you said you hate admitting it. It takes real courage to bring this into the light, and God sees that honesty. You are not too broken for Him to restore.

What you describe makes sense given what you have been through. Being bullied often in school, especially while living with ASD, can leave deep wounds and shape confusing desires and patterns later. It does not mean you are worthless or beyond help. It means you have been hurt and you are carrying that hurt into how you experience attraction and lust. God cares about that pain and wants to heal it, not just manage the behavior that comes from it.

You also said lust is destroying you, that you have tried quitting video games and even destroying possessions, but you just find something else. That frustration is common because lust is not mainly about the object in front of you. It is a matter of the heart. Changing what is around you can help for a moment, but lasting change comes from God changing what is inside you. Jesus alone can do that. He offers not just forgiveness for what we have done, but power to live differently through faith in Him and the work of His Spirit.

You mentioned you only feel a hint of guilt and then feel better after. That does not mean the struggle is not serious. Sometimes our conscience can become dull when we have practiced something for a long time, and shame can make us want to hide rather than turn to God. Scripture talks about how sin promises pleasure but its end is death and shame, while God offers freedom from both the punishment and the shame itself. The fact that you are still concerned, still praying, and still reaching out shows God is still working in you and has not left you.

You are not too broken to be renewed. The good news is that righteousness and new life are not earned by trying harder or punishing yourself. They are a gift from God to those who trust in Jesus Christ. He died and rose to save sinners, and no one who comes to Him is turned away. That does not mean change is instant or easy. It means you can stop trying to fix yourself alone and begin walking with Him daily.

God's design for sexual desire is good, but He places it within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any sexual activity outside of that, including lust in the heart and mind, goes against His design and will harm us, even when it feels comforting in the moment. God says this not to shame you, but to protect you and lead you to something better.

Here are some steps that can help as you walk toward freedom, not as ways to earn God's love, but as ways to stay close to Him:

First, keep bringing this to God in honest prayer and confession, even when you do not feel strong guilt. Ask Him to give you a true sorrow for sin and a greater joy in knowing Christ. Read Scripture regularly, even a little each day, especially passages that remind you of God's grace and your new identity in Christ.

Second, do not walk alone. Isolation makes lust stronger. Talk with a trusted pastor or mature Christian mentor who holds to biblical truth and can meet with you regularly for encouragement and accountability. If possible, seek a Christian counselor who understands both faith and ASD, who can help you process the history of being bullied and learn healthier ways to cope.

Third, put practical guards in place. This is not about destroying everything you own, but about making wise boundaries with the internet, your phone, and your time. Filters, keeping devices in open areas, and having a plan for when temptation comes can be helpful when combined with heart change.

Fourth, build a healthy rhythm of life. Regular sleep, prayer, work, fellowship, and worship help keep your mind from drifting toward old patterns. When you fall, do not hide. Confess quickly to God, receive His forgiveness through Christ, and get back up.

You are not alone in this struggle, even though it feels that way. Many believers wrestle with lust and feel stuck in a cycle. The difference is not that they are stronger, but that they learn to rely on Christ rather than on their own willpower.

I will pray for you now, that God would give you hope, that He would heal the wounds from being bullied, that He would give you strength to turn from lust, and that you would know deeply that you are loved and able to be made new through Jesus. Please continue to reach out to a local pastor or trusted believer so you have ongoing support. God is patient and He is able to finish the work He has begun in you.
