We are blessed to join with you in praying through this powerful passage from Colossians. Let us come together and seek God's will, asking that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. It is only through Christ Jesus that anyone may come to God the Father. We must therefore place Jesus at the center and pray in His name.
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: (Colossians 1:9-12 WEB)
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We ask that You fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Help us to walk in a manner worthy of You, Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of You. Strengthen us with all power, according to Your glorious might, for the attaining of all perseverance and patience, joyously giving thanks to You, Father, for You have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
Father, we desire to know Your will more intimately. Guide us through Your Holy Spirit, and help us to apply Your wisdom in our lives. Help us to walk worthy of Your calling, pleasing You in every way. Help us to be fruitful in every good work, and to grow in our knowledge of You.
Strengthen us, Lord, with Your glorious power. Help us to endure with patience and joy, giving thanks in all circumstances. Remind us, Father, that You have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Thank You for this blessed assurance.
We pray for one another in Christ Jesus and seek to pursue one another's faith, uplift, encourage, and inspire. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us encourage one another to continue in prayer, seeking God's will for our lives. Remember, it is God's desire for us to know Him more intimately and to walk in a manner pleasing to Him. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 WEB).
We also encourage you to share the entire Gospel message. Knowing God's will and walking worthy may be difficult without the saving faith in Jesus Christ. This message is clear if we continue in the same book.
making peace through the blood of his cross, by him, I say, whether they are things on earth, or things in heaven. And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight: If you continue in the faith grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; (Colossians 1:20-23 WEB)
Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, may all who are reading this know this truth and come to a saving faith in Jesus.
