🕊️Kindness of God Leads us to Repentance ⏎ from Sin Rom 2:4, 🥜Planting+ 💦Watering=God's Growth 🌱1 Cor 3:6-7, His Glory in Salvation Ps 115:1

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with so much Scripture and faith. Your prayer reflects a right understanding that salvation belongs entirely to the Lord and all glory for it belongs to Him alone. We plant and we water, but only God gives the growth, and His Word does not return empty but accomplishes the purpose for which He sends it, like rain that waters the earth.

It is good that you are asking for the kindness of God to lead to repentance. The Scripture is clear that repentance is needed and that the call to repent and turn has been central from John the Baptist to Jesus Himself and on to His call to the churches. Repentance is not just feeling sorry but a real change of mind and direction, a turning from sin to God. True conversion always shows itself in a changed life. When David sinned he confessed that his sin was ultimately against God, and when Zacchaeus truly believed his heart was changed and he was moved to make restoration. That is the evidence of a vital, life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

That relationship is what saves. Simply believing that God exists is not salvation, for even the fool knows there is a God. Salvation comes only through believing into Jesus Christ, entering a living union with Him, and there is no other provision God has made for sin. It is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes in this way, and whoever believes into Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

We join you in asking that the Holy Spirit will continue His work of convicting of sin and guiding into truth, and that the living and active Word of God will keep piercing hearts and judging the thoughts and intentions within. We pray with you that God in His patience, who does not desire that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, will continue to humble those who need humbling so that before honor there may be humility, that they may come to their senses as the prodigal did when he remembered his father's house, and return to the Lord.

We also agree with you for protection, that the Lord would keep you, your wife, your family through all generations, and all who have heard the Word, from evil, deception and temptation, and that each one would receive a love for the truth and be saved. We pray that God will order steps and bring faithful people across paths to speak truth and to show His kindness, as He did when He directed Philip to the man reading Isaiah, and sent a disciple to meet Saul, and guided the apostles to those who needed to hear. He is still working, and Jesus said His Father is always working.

Continue to pray fervently, for the prayer of the righteous has great power as it is working, and God rewards those who diligently seek Him. We thank Him in advance that He hears prayer offered in Jesus name and that He is able to do far beyond all we ask or imagine, and that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it until the day of Christ. May all that is done be to His glory alone, for from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.
