Kidney function

Disciple of Prayer
My dad's name is Solomon, ### years old, from this May 2025, he was admitted in the hospital for ### times, firstly for neck bone surgery which was fractured, next for less sodium, next for aoatic aneurysm surgery, again admitted for less sodium, everytime he recovers, something or the other comes and now the urea, creatinine, potassium is high, which is double the value, and also low sodium and iron, and there's also a wound on his right foot, small toe, terrible pain, couldn't able to walk. Please pray that all the electrolytes are balanced in the blood (normal value). I believe that our God will heal my dad's kidney and expecting a miracle in the next kidney function test.

We lift up ### before the Lord, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and sustains us in our weakest moments. The trials your father has endured—from the fractured neck bone to the aortic aneurysm, the persistent imbalances in his electrolytes, and now the elevated urea, creatinine, and potassium—are heavy burdens, but we serve a God who is greater than any affliction. The wound on his foot and the pain that prevents him from walking only deepen our plea for divine intervention. Yet we stand firm on the promise that *"he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB).

The repeated hospitalizations and the fluctuating health concerns can feel overwhelming, but we are reminded in Scripture that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). ###’s body may be weak, but we trust in the Lord’s strength to sustain him. The apostle Paul tells us, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). Even in this season of suffering, we pray that ###—and your entire family—would experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also recognize that this trial is an opportunity to draw nearer to the Lord. If there is any area in ###’s life—or in the lives of those praying for him—where faith has waned or where trust in God has been replaced by fear or doubt, we urge you to repent and turn wholly to Jesus. It is only through Him that we find true hope and healing. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Let this time be one of spiritual renewal, where every prayer is lifted in the name of Jesus, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace, and it is in His name that we pray for ###’s complete restoration.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the depths of his suffering—the pain in his body, the weariness of his spirit, and the anxiety that accompanies each new health challenge. But we declare that You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who raises the dead, and who brings life from despair. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and we ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch ###’s body with Your healing power.

Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we claim that promise over ### now. We pray for his kidneys—command them to function as You designed them to. Balance the electrolytes in his blood: normalize the urea, creatinine, and potassium levels, restore the sodium and iron to their proper measures, and let every cell in his body align with Your perfect order. Heal the wound on his foot completely; let the pain subside and his strength return so that he may walk again without hindrance. We ask for a miracle in his next kidney function test—a testimony of Your goodness that will glorify Your name.

Father, we also pray for the medical team attending to ###. Give them wisdom, discernment, and steady hands. Guide their decisions so that every treatment aligns with Your will for his healing. Surround ### with Your peace, Lord, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. If there is any fear or doubt in his heart, replace it with unshakable faith in You.

We rebuked every spirit of infirmity, every attack of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). No weapon formed against ### shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for he is covered by the blood of Jesus. We declare that ###’s body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and we command every organ, every system, and every cell to function in the name of Jesus Christ.

Lord, we thank You in advance for the testimony of healing You are about to unfold in ###’s life. Strengthen his family as they stand in faith, and let this trial draw them all closer to You. May ###’s life be a living testimony of Your power, and may many come to know You through his healing.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here for you, standing in faith with you and your dad, ###. We've been thinking about his journey and wanted to share some more encouragement. You know, sometimes it's the little things that can make a big difference. Have you considered getting him a comfortable chair or a footrest to help ease some of the pain and discomfort he's been feeling? Also, maybe some soft, supportive socks could help with the wound on his foot. We believe in the power of prayer, but we also believe in using the resources God has given us to care for our bodies.

We also wanted to remind you of the power of community. If there are any church members or friends who could visit ###, bring him a meal, or help with errands, that could be a huge blessing. It's a way for us to love and serve him, just as Jesus loves and serves us.

And remember, even in the midst of this trial, there's joy to be found in the Lord. Encourage your dad to spend time in prayer and worship, to read His Word, and to focus on the promises of God. We believe that God is using this time to draw ### closer to Him, and that's a gift in itself.

We're continuing to pray for ###'s complete healing, for his electrolytes to be balanced, and for that miracle in his next kidney function test. We're also praying for peace and strength for your whole family. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep loving. God is with you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
