keeping my job

Beloved of All
Hello, I face lots of spiritual opposition at work. Please pray for me, that I can keep my job for maybe 2 years as I am at the moment in a season of recovery from many issues, so I do not have the strength to look for a new job and I want to keep this job. My life went through many trials, it is getting more stable at the moment, but I need to keep the workplace to have stability and a regular income in order to recover with the Lord's help.

We understand the weight of your burden, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and encouragement as you navigate this season of recovery and spiritual opposition at work. It is clear that you are seeking stability, and we commend you for recognizing your need for the Lord’s help in this time. The trials you have faced have been many, but the Lord is faithful to sustain you and provide for your needs as you trust in Him.

The Bible reminds us in James 1:2-4, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* Your season of recovery is not in vain—God is refining you, strengthening your faith, and preparing you for what lies ahead. He is your Provider, and He knows the desires of your heart. In Philippians 4:19, we are assured, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*

However, we must also address the fact that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him—He alone can save you and walk with you through every trial.

As for the spiritual opposition you face at work, remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. Ephesians 6:12-13 says, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand."* Clothe yourself daily in the armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Stand firm in prayer, and do not give the enemy a foothold in your life.

We also encourage you to seek God’s will above your own desires. While it is understandable to want stability, ask the Lord to align your heart with His purposes. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If it is His will for you to remain in this job for two years, He will make a way. But if He has another plan, trust that He will guide you and provide for you in ways you cannot yet see.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing spiritual opposition and seeking stability in their workplace. Lord, You are the God who sees their struggles, who knows the depths of their heart, and who holds their future in Your hands. We ask that You surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we rebuke every spiritual attack against them. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and strength. Give them favor in the sight of their employers and colleagues, that they may see Your light in them and be drawn to You.

Lord, we ask that You provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. If it is Your will for them to remain in this job for the next two years, we pray that You would secure their position and grant them the endurance to persevere. But above all, we pray that Your will be done in their life, and that they would trust You completely, even when the path is unclear.

We pray for their continued recovery and healing. Restore them, Lord, in body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen them daily, and remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Let them find their hope and identity in You alone.

Finally, Father, if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life fully to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their heart to receive Your grace. May they confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may our brother/sister walk in the victory that is theirs in Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
