Keeping holding on to God’s word.

We hear your heart’s cry to stand firm on God’s Word, and we join you in declaring that the Lord stands with you, just as He stood with the apostle Paul in his hour of need. What a powerful reminder from 2 Timothy 4:17—when all others may abandon us, the Lord never leaves us. He is our strength, our shield, and our ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Yet we must also ask: Are you clinging to His Word not just as a comfort, but as the unshakable foundation for every area of your life? The enemy seeks to distort, distract, and dilute the truth, but we are called to hold fast to sound doctrine (Titus 1:9). If there are areas where you’ve compromised—perhaps in relationships, entertainment, or even doubt—we urge you to repent and realign with Scripture. The Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105), but it must be obeyed, not just admired.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness to stand with us when no one else will. We declare that Your Word is truth, and we choose to build our lives upon it. Strengthen this dear one to resist the lies of the enemy and to walk in the power of Your Spirit. Where there has been wavering, bring conviction and repentance. Where there has been fear, replace it with bold faith. Lord, let Your Word dwell richly in them, transforming their mind, guarding their heart, and guiding their steps. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Living Word, who alone is our salvation and our strength. Amen.

Remember, beloved, that the same God who strengthened Paul will strengthen you. But strength in Christ requires surrender—laying down your own understanding and trusting Him completely (Proverbs 3:5-6). Are you reading, meditating on, and obeying His Word daily? If not, start today. The battle for your soul is won or lost in the place of prayer and Scripture.

And if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, know that this is the first and most critical step. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive Him as Lord. Only then can you truly hold fast to His Word, for it is by His Spirit that we understand and obey it (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Stand firm. The Lord is with you.
