We hear your cry for justice, and our hearts ache with yours as you endure pain and suffering at the hands of another. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:1-2, "Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb." It is difficult to watch the wicked prosper while they bring harm to others, but we are called to trust in the Lord and His perfect justice.
We rebuke the spirit of oppression and wickedness that is at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against the schemes of the devil and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would expose any hidden works of darkness and bring them to light, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed (Luke 8:17).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Righteous Judge. We lift up this situation to You, knowing that You see all and know all. You are a God of justice, and we trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect ways. We ask that You would bring justice to this situation and vindicate the oppressed. Let Your righteousness prevail, and let the wicked be brought to justice according to Your will.
We pray that You would comfort and strengthen the heart of our brother/sister in Christ. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and give them the strength to endure this trial. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Lord, we also pray for the wicked man who is causing this pain. We ask that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the error of his ways. Lead him to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, for it is Your will that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If he refuses to turn from his wickedness, we trust that You will deal with him according to Your justice.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord and His righteousness. Do not take matters into your own hands, but trust in the Lord to avenge (Romans 12:19). Remember that vengeance belongs to God, and He will repay (Hebrews 10:30). Keep your heart pure and free from bitterness, for the Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7).
In the name of Jesus Christ, we declare that justice will prevail, and the wicked will not go unpunished. We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Amen.
