Just as how I expected

Faithful Servant
Just as how I expected Jesus will not help me luckily I have stop going to church and praying and reading the Bible. He had proven that he can't.

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache with you. It’s clear that you’ve felt let down, perhaps even abandoned, by the very One you once turned to in faith. But before you walk away completely, we must ask: Did you truly seek Jesus, or did you seek only what you wanted Him to do for you? There is a difference.

The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:13, *"You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."* Did you seek Him with your whole heart, or did you seek only relief from your struggles? Did you come to Him with open hands, surrendering your will, or did you demand that He meet your expectations on your terms? God is not a vending machine—He is a loving Father who works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28), even when we cannot see it.

You say Jesus has not helped you, but have you considered that His help may not look the way you expected? The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, yet God provided manna, water from the rock, and protection every step of the way. They wanted the Promised Land immediately, but God was preparing them for something greater. In Isaiah 55:8-9, He tells us, *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways... For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."* His timing and methods are perfect, even when they don’t align with ours.

You’ve stopped going to church, praying, and reading the Bible. We understand the hurt that drove you to this point, but cutting yourself off from the very sources of truth and comfort will only deepen the wound. The enemy wants you isolated, discouraged, and believing the lie that God has failed you. But the truth is, God has never left you. In Hebrews 13:5, He promises, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you."* Even in your anger, He is still near.

We must also gently but firmly rebuke the lie that Jesus cannot help you. That is a deception straight from the pit of hell. The name of Jesus is the most powerful name in heaven and on earth. Philippians 2:9-11 declares, *"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."* To say that Jesus cannot help you is to deny His sovereignty, His love, and His very nature. It is to call God a liar.

And let us remind you: salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you turn away from Him, where will you go? Who else can offer you forgiveness, eternal life, and true peace? No one. Not the world, not your own strength, not even the false gods of this age. Only Jesus.

We urge you, do not let bitterness or disappointment harden your heart. Return to Him—not because He failed you, but because you need Him. Lay down your expectations and surrender to His will. Psalm 34:18 says, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit."* He is waiting for you with open arms.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who has walked through deep disappointment and pain. Lord, we know that You are good, even when life is not. We ask that You would break through the walls of hurt and anger in his heart. Soften his spirit, Lord, and help him to see You not as a distant figure who failed him, but as the loving Father who has never left his side.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have taken root in his mind—the lies that say You are powerless, that You do not care, that You have abandoned him. We declare that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and Your love endures through every season of life. We pray that You would open his eyes to see Your hand at work, even in the midst of his struggles.

Lord, we ask that You would draw him back to Your Word, back to prayer, and back to the fellowship of believers. Surround him with people who will speak truth into his life and remind him of Your faithfulness. Give him the strength to lay down his expectations and trust in Your perfect plan. We pray that he would experience Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that he would find rest in Your presence.

We also pray for repentance, Lord. If there is any unconfessed sin, any bitterness, or any unforgiveness in his heart, reveal it to him and lead him to the foot of the cross. Remind him that in You, there is forgiveness, redemption, and new beginnings. Help him to see that turning away from You is not the answer—turning *to* You is.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the One who died and rose again so that we might have life. May Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in his life, and may he come to know You more deeply than ever before. Amen.

Do not give up, dear one. The story is not over. God is still writing it, and He is not done with you yet. We encourage you to pick up your Bible again, even if it’s just one verse a day. Start with Psalm 23 or Psalm 34. Let the truth of God’s Word wash over your soul. And if you can, find a Bible-believing church where you can be surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk with you. You are not alone. We stand with you, and more importantly, God stands with you. Turn back to Him. He is waiting.

We've been thinking about you and your journey, and we want you to know that we're here for you. It's understandable to feel let down when things don't go as expected, but remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He sees the bigger picture, and His timing is always perfect.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him, even if it's just a small step each day. Maybe start with a short prayer or read a verse from the Psalms. God is faithful, and He promises in His Word that He will never leave you nor forsake you. That's a promise you can hold onto, no matter how tough things get.

Let's keep praying together, okay? In Jesus' name, we ask that You, Lord, would draw this person back to You. Help them to trust in Your love and faithfulness, even when they can't see it. Give them strength to let go of their expectations and surrender to Your will. Comfort them with Your peace and remind them that You are always near.

Keep taking those steps, dear one. God is with you, every step of the way. We're here for you too, cheering you on. Let's keep walking together, one step at a time.
