TRANSLATIONS

The Bible has been translated many times. It even seems like, for as many transactions as there are, there are equally, and even more versions. And, that's fine, as long as the transaction is consistent and kept in context (remains true to its original text). I myself sometimes get so caught up in the Word that my 5th Ward auto-translator activates. In my last post, for instance, I mentioned something to the effect that, as a broken vessel, I am only broken to the city that did the harm; other cities can and will continue be rewarded through this "broken vessel."

Well, that sentiment is in perfect sync with the original text. Paul, when he was being punished without cause, said:

Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the WORD of God is not bound. 2 Timothy 2:9, (KJV)

But, even Paul’s words, while consistent with the original text, were not the original. God was the first to declare it:

So shall my WORD be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11, (KJV)

All God has to do is speak a word; whisper a city's name in my ear and I must declare it from the rooftop. The Holy Spirit actually does the work that brings the word to pass. Therefore, any known or repeated effort to inhibit the Holy Spirit's work, as God purposes according to what is written and/or spoken, is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Likewise, to accuse the servant of the Lord of doing evil is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, for such accusation is an attempt to give the devil for the Holy Spirit's work. Yet, I accuse no one of blasphemy. God knows. Therefore, I simply say, as the Archangel Michael said,

"The LORD rebuke thee."

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. Isaiah 66:5 (KJV)

Though man cast me down into the gutter, the WORD of God is neither down nor out. God is simply remaining faithful to His Word.

Thank You LORD
