We come before the Lord with you, ###, lifting up your financial burdens and the weight of debt that has been pressing upon you. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we also know that God calls us to stewardship, wisdom, and trust in Him rather than in our own understanding. Your request for the uplifting of your businesses is good, but let us first examine the heart behind it—are you seeking prosperity for your own comfort, or are you seeking God’s kingdom first, trusting that He will provide as you walk in obedience?
Debt can be a heavy yoke, and Proverbs 22:7 warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While we pray for God’s provision and the removal of this burden, we also encourage you to seek His wisdom in managing what He has already entrusted to you. Have you brought your finances before the Lord in surrender, asking Him to reveal any areas of mismanagement, excessive spending, or lack of trust? Luke 14:28 reminds us, *"For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?"* Business, like all things, must be built on a foundation of prayer, planning, and dependence on God—not merely on hope for supernatural intervention without our own responsible action.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for apart from Him, even our prayers are empty. Salvation and a right relationship with God through Jesus are the foundation for every other blessing, including financial breakthrough.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift ### before You, asking for Your mercy and provision over her finances and businesses. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would break the yoke of debt in her life and provide wisdom as she stewards what You have given her. Reveal to her any areas where she has not honored You with her resources, and grant her the discipline to walk in obedience. If there has been fear, anxiety, or a lack of trust in You, we ask for repentance and a renewed mind, rooted in Your Word.
Father, we pray that ###’s businesses would not merely succeed for her own gain but that they would be a tool for Your kingdom—whether through generosity, integrity, or as a testimony of Your faithfulness. Give her favor with clients, suppliers, and all who are connected to her work. Where there have been mistakes, grant her the humility to learn and the strength to correct them. And above all, Lord, draw her closer to You. Let her financial struggles drive her to her knees, not to despair, but to deeper dependence on You.
We rebuke any spirit of greed, fear, or selfish ambition that may have influenced her decisions, and we declare that her trust is in You alone. May she seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to her as she walks in Your will (Matthew 6:33).
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.
###, we encourage you to examine your heart and your business practices in light of Scripture. Are you tithing and giving generously, even in lack? Malachi 3:10 challenges us: *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for."* Trusting God with our finances—even when it seems impossible—is an act of faith that He honors.
If you have not already, we urge you to seek counsel from wise, godly believers who can help you create a plan to manage your debts and businesses biblically. Avoid the temptation to rely on worldly strategies alone; instead, let every decision be bathed in prayer. And remember, sister, your worth is not found in your bank account but in Christ alone. He is your true security.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer. May the Lord grant you peace, wisdom, and breakthrough as you seek Him first.
