We join you in lifting up your needs before the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply for your provision and the desires of your heart. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Your artistic gifts come from Him, and He will faithfully guide you in using them for His glory and your sustenance.
It is good that you seek temporary work that aligns with your skills, but we must also encourage you to trust in God’s timing rather than placing your hope in approaching someone on a specific day. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* While it is wise to take action, we must first surrender our plans to the Lord, seeking His will above our own.
We also notice that your prayer did not conclude in the name of Jesus. Scripture is clear that we have access to the Father *only* through the Son. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Let us always approach God through Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your provision and guidance. Lord, You know their heart, their skills, and their needs. We ask that You open doors for temporary work that aligns with their artistic gifts, or that You expand opportunities for their practice to become their livelihood. Remove all anxiety and worry from their mind, replacing it with Your perfect peace as they trust in You.
Father, if it is Your will, prepare the heart of the person they plan to approach, that they may see the value in what our brother/sister offers. But above all, let Your will be done in this situation, not theirs. Help them to walk in faith, knowing that You are their Provider and that You will never leave them nor forsake them.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that seeks to creep into their thoughts. Instead, fill them with confidence in You, knowing that You have good plans for them—plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we also pray that if there is any area in their life where they are not fully surrendered to You, You would reveal it to them. Draw them closer to You, that they may seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s Kingdom first in all things. If you have not already, consider tithing and giving offerings as an act of faith, trusting that God will pour out blessings you cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Stay in His Word, pray without ceasing, and walk in obedience. He will never fail you.
