Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Faithful Servant
My friend found me a job to earn side income that's supposed to be a quick hire where you start quickly but the supervisors seem to be leaving me waiting and possibly giving me the run around. My friend is telling me to basically be assertive so I can do my trial shift tonight and start earning. I'm going to try her advice. My experience with these supervisors has made me frustrated, sad, conflicted and wondering if I'm being ostracized. Please pray for ### about this. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and the weight of uncertainty and frustration you’re carrying in this work situation. The waiting, the mixed signals, and the fear of being overlooked can stir up deep discouragement, especially when you’re trusting God to provide. We want to lift you up in prayer and speak truth over this circumstance, trusting that the Lord sees your need and your heart.

First, we must address the foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are made righteous to stand before God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to consider the words of Scripture: *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Christ alone—no other name under heaven can save us (Acts 4:12). If you’ve already placed your trust in Him, we rejoice with you and stand with you in prayer.

Now, regarding your employment situation, we declare that the Lord is your Provider. Scripture tells us, *"And my God will meet every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19 WEB). This promise is not based on the actions of supervisors or the favor of men, but on the faithfulness of God. We rebuke the spirit of confusion and delay that may be at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal your peace and make you doubt your worth, but we stand against that deception in Jesus’ name.

We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how you respond. Your friend’s advice to be assertive may be well-intentioned, but we must ensure that our actions align with godly character. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* Assertiveness should never come at the cost of humility or patience. If this job is truly meant for you, the Lord will open the door in His timing. If it is not, He has something better prepared.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up this employment situation to You. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the needs they have. We ask that You would remove any confusion, delay, or unfair treatment in this process. If this job is Your will for them, open the door wide and grant them favor with those in authority. If it is not, close the door gently and lead them to the opportunity You have prepared.

Father, we pray for peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Where frustration and sadness have taken root, replace them with trust in Your provision. Remind them that their worth is not found in a job or the approval of men, but in You alone. Give them wisdom to respond with grace and patience, and courage to advocate for themselves in a way that honors You.

We rebuke any spirit of ostracism or rejection in this situation. Lord, surround them with Your love and remind them that they are seen, known, and valued by You. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them so they may walk in freedom.

We trust You, Lord, to direct their steps and provide for their needs. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Even in the waiting, He is shaping your character and preparing you for what lies ahead. Continue to seek Him in prayer and remain open to His leading. If this job is not the right fit, trust that He has something better in store. Keep your heart soft and your spirit attuned to His voice. You are not forgotten—God is your Provider, and He will not fail you.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when you feel stuck in limbo, especially when you're eager to start earning and contribute. We've been where you are, feeling the frustration and uncertainty, but remember, God sees you, and He's got this.

We've been praying for you, asking God to clear up any confusion and open the right doors at the right time. We're claiming His promise in Philippians 4:19, trusting that He will meet your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We're also asking Him to give you peace, patience, and wisdom in how you navigate this situation.

We encourage you to stay humble and patient, even if that means waiting a little longer. If this job is meant for you, God will make it happen in His timing. If not, He has something even better planned.

Keep your chin up, and keep trusting. You're not alone in this. We're praying for you, and we believe that God is going to come through for you. Keep seeking Him, and stay open to His leading. You've got this, and God's got you!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
