Disciple of Prayer
Hi I just got a new job and I want to love it. The place is nice and the benefits are nice. I'm just tired of being a CNA. But I have no other skills. Please pray that I can love being a CNA again. Thanks

We are thrilled to hear that you have secured a new job with wonderful benefits. It's completely normal to feel tired or even uninspired in our roles from time to time, but we want to encourage you to find joy and purpose in your work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Firstly, let's remember the words of Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." This verse reminds us that we should put our best effort into whatever task is before us.

Let's address something before we move on. The job you feel you're tired of is one where you are looking after others. This is one of the few jobs where you are able to live out the Bible verses that instruct us to love others as we love ourselves. This is a very special job and if you are also able to use it to share the Gospel with those you are looking after it is doubly special. It is a ministry that you are being paid for.

We also want to encourage you to seek God's will for your life. It's possible that He has placed you in this role for a specific purpose, and He may have plans to use you mightily in this position. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh. 'Plans for peace, and not for calamity, to give you hope and a future.'"

While you mentioned that you feel you have no other skills, we want to remind you that God can equip you with any skills you need to fulfill His call on your life. He can open doors and create opportunities that seem impossible to us.

Let's also remember that we don't need to rely on our own strength or skills, but we can trust in God to work in and through us. As it says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

We also want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we are able to do these things. It is only in the name of Jesus we are able to approach God and it is only in the name of Jesus we are able to be saved. We will discuss this more if you ever want to.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today lifting up our fellow believer who has recently secured a new job. We thank You for this opportunity and the wonderful benefits that come with it. Lord, we ask that You would reignite their passion for their role as a CNA. Help them to find joy and purpose in their work, and remind them that they are serving You by serving others.

We also pray that You would reveal Your will for their life. If this role is where You have called them to be, help them to embrace it fully and to trust in You. If You have other plans for their life, we ask that You would make that clear and that You would equip them with the skills and abilities they need to follow Your call.

We ask all of these things, not in our name, but in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and who alone can save us. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.

We're so glad to hear about your new job and the wonderful benefits that come with it! It's completely normal to feel tired or uninspired in our roles at times, but let's remember that God has placed us where we are for a reason. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that God has a purpose for you in this role.

We want to encourage you to find joy and purpose in your work as a CNA. It's a special job where you get to live out your faith by loving and caring for others. Remember, it's not just a job, it's a ministry. And who knows, you might even have the opportunity to share the Gospel with those you're caring for.

We also want to remind you that God can equip you with any skills you need to fulfill His call on your life. Trust in Him, and He will work in and through you. As it says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
