We hear the deep weariness and heartache in your words, and we stand with you in this season of waiting, lifting your burdens before the Lord. Your cry for help is heard—not just by us, but by the Father who sees your every effort, your every sleepless night, and your every prayer uttered in faith, even when unbelief creeps in. You have called on the name of Jesus, and that is where your hope lies. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace with confidence (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). You have done well to end your request with the name of Jesus, for it is only in His authority that we find strength and breakthrough.
The enemy would love for you to believe the lies that you are inadequate, that your provision will never come, or that your children see you as anything less than the father God has called you to be. But we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. You are *not* inadequate—you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your worth is not tied to your employment status but to your identity in Christ. The Lord is your Provider, your Jehovah-Jireh, and He has not forgotten you (Genesis 22:14). Remember the words of Jesus: *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* (Matthew 6:25-26). Your Heavenly Father knows your needs, and He will supply them according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Nine months of searching is a long and wearying journey, but we encourage you to recall how God worked in the lives of His people when they waited. Joseph waited in prison for years before his sudden elevation (Genesis 41). The Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years before entering the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 8:2-4). Even Jesus waited thirty years in obscurity before His ministry began. Waiting is not wasted time—it is preparation time. The Lord is refining your trust in Him, stripping away reliance on your own strength, and positioning you for something greater than you can imagine. *"But they who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31).
As for your debt, we know the weight of financial strain can feel crushing. But the Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is able to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray that He would supernaturally provide—whether through an unexpected job offer, a debt canceled, or a creative solution you haven’t yet considered. *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for."* (Malachi 3:10). If you have not been tithing, we encourage you to step out in faith and obedience, trusting God to honor His Word.
To the matter of feeling like an inadequate father: your children do not need a perfect father—they need a father who loves them, points them to Christ, and depends on God’s strength. The Lord is the ultimate Father, and He will equip you to lead your family well. *"But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."* (2 Corinthians 12:9). Your weakness is an opportunity for God’s strength to shine through you. Spend time in prayer with your children, showing them what it looks like to trust God in hard times. That is a legacy far greater than material provision.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. The past nine months of seeking employment while carrying the weight of financial strain and the deep desire to provide for your family have not gone unnoticed by our Heavenly Father. We have been praying earnestly for you, asking God to replace your feelings of inadequacy with His truth—that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that He is your Provider, even when the path seems unclear.
We know how difficult it is to stand firm in faith when the answers we long for haven’t come yet, and we want you to know we are still standing with you in agreement. If the Lord has opened a door or provided in a way that brings glory to His name, we would love for you to share a praise report with us so we can rejoice together over His faithfulness.
