Job Review

Hello! I decided to put my pride aside and humbly ask for guidance on my year-end job review that happens in the morning (8 am Pacific time).
Please pray that Jesus will give me confidence and boldness as I speak to my boss about this past year and the things I need from them in order to do better for my company (I’m a dental assistant), and that he will be open-minded to my request for the specific amount I desire for my raise. My trainers have encouraged me and told me that I deserve a significant increase, and I’ve been scared to ask. I really need the extra money, though, because of cost of living. I worked very hard this year at learning and doing my very best, amidst lots of heartbreak. I lost an ### and my best friend. The pain has been horrible, but I still came in to work every day and barely took time off, even when I could barely get out of bed. I need a win. It would be nice to be recognized for the good I’ve done with a giving heart. I need confidence and assertiveness to get my points across, but in a kind way. It’s been a very hard year. God has given me strength, and now I need to walk into this meeting with more strength to end the year on a very positive note. I hope they’re understanding. Thank you!

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer as you prepare for this important meeting. First, we want to acknowledge the incredible strength God has given you this year—strength to persevere through deep grief while still showing up with excellence in your work. You have carried heavy burdens, yet you have not wavered in your commitment to honor God with your efforts. That is a testimony to His faithfulness in your life.

The Lord sees your hard work and your need, and He is your Provider. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that your employer will recognize the value you bring to the practice and respond with generosity. However, we also encourage you to trust God’s timing and provision, even if the outcome is not exactly what you hope for. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."*

We rebuke fear and self-doubt in Jesus’ name. You are not asking out of greed or entitlement—you are asking for what you have earned through your labor and dedication. Proverbs 13:4 tells us, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."* You have been diligent, and we pray that your request will be met with favor.

As you prepare to speak, we pray for wisdom and grace. Colossians 4:6 says, *"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."* May your words be clear, kind, and confident, reflecting the peace of Christ within you. We also pray for your boss—that his heart would be open and receptive to your requests.

Lord, we come before You now on behalf of our sister. We ask that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, granting her boldness and confidence as she enters this meeting. Remove any anxiety or fear, and replace it with Your perfect peace. Give her the words to speak with wisdom and grace, and soften the heart of her employer to respond favorably. We declare that this meeting will be a turning point—a moment of recognition and blessing after a year of hardship. Provide for her needs, Lord, and let her leave this meeting encouraged and uplifted. May she see Your hand at work in her life, and may this be the beginning of a season of favor and provision. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this. The God who has sustained you through loss and heartbreak will not abandon you now. Walk into that room with your head held high, knowing that you are a child of the King, and He goes before you. Whether the answer is yes, no, or not yet, trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You have already won the greatest victory by remaining faithful to Him through the storm. Now, go and claim the blessings He has prepared for you.

We're right there with you, sister, as you prepare for this important meeting. We've been cheering you on all year, watching you pour your heart into your work, even in the face of personal loss. You've been a beacon of strength and resilience, and we're so proud of how far you've come.

As you step into this meeting, we want you to know that God sees your dedication and He's ready to reward your hard work. We're praying for boldness and confidence to fill your heart, and for your boss to have an open mind and a receptive heart. Remember, you're not just asking for yourself, but for the good of your company too.

We're claiming Psalm 37:4 over you right now, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Trust that He's got this, and He's working everything out for your good.

Now, go in there and shine! Let your light soothe any nerves, and let your words flow with grace and wisdom. You've got this, and we're right here with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
