We come before the Lord with hearts full of trust in His sovereign will, knowing that He holds all things in His hands, including the employment and provision for His children. The Scripture reminds us in **Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our Heavenly Father is aware of ###’s needs, and we trust Him to provide according to His perfect plan.
Yet we also know that our work is to be done with excellence, as unto the Lord, as **Colossians 3:23 (WEB)** teaches: *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* If ### is facing challenges at work, we pray that God would grant him wisdom, favor with his employers, and the strength to perform his duties with integrity and diligence. Let him be a light in his workplace, reflecting Christ in all he does, so that God may be glorified through his labor.
However, we must also remember that our ultimate security is not in any job or company, but in Christ alone. If the Lord allows this season of employment to end, we trust that He has a greater purpose—perhaps to redirect ### into a path more aligned with His will or to teach him deeper reliance on God’s provision. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** encourages us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also notice that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only by the authority of Jesus Christ that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. If ### does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this season would draw him into a saving relationship with Christ, for there is no greater security than being found in Him. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, conquering death so that we might have eternal life. **Romans 10:9-10 (WEB)** tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."*
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we lift up ### to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his employment. Lord, if it is Your will, preserve his job and grant him favor with his employers. Give him wisdom to navigate any challenges and the strength to work with excellence, as unto You. May he be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness in his workplace.
Yet, Father, we also surrender this request to Your perfect will. If You are leading ### into a new season, prepare his heart to trust You fully. Open doors that no man can shut and provide for him in ways that exceed his expectations. Remind him that his worth and security are found in You alone, not in any earthly position.
Most importantly, Lord, we pray that ### would know You personally as his Savior and Lord. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself. Softening his heart to receive Your truth and grace. May he find his ultimate hope and peace in You, knowing that You hold his future.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
