We understand the weariness that comes with waiting, and we want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord’s perfect timing. The search for a teaching position can feel long and discouraging, but we know that God has a plan for your life, and He is faithful to provide according to His will. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* This promise is for you—God has not forgotten you, and He is preparing the right opportunity at the right time.
We also want to gently remind you that when we pray, we must come before God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repenting of your sins and believing in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life.
If you are already a believer, let us encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in this season. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Sometimes the delay is God’s way of preparing you, refining your character, or aligning circumstances that you cannot yet see. We urge you to remain faithful in prayer, in studying His Word, and in serving where you are now. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* and this applies even as you wait for the next step in your career.
Let us also ask: Have you sought wisdom from godly mentors or fellow believers in your field? Sometimes God provides guidance through the counsel of others. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to trusted believers who can pray with you, offer advice, or even connect you with opportunities.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, asking that You would open the doors of opportunity for her in the field of teaching. Lord, You know her heart, her skills, and her desire to serve in this way. We ask that You would guide her steps and lead her to the position You have prepared for her. Give her patience in the waiting, and help her to trust in Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We pray that You would provide favor with those in authority over hiring decisions, that her resume and interviews would stand out, and that You would go before her to prepare the way. If there are areas in her life or character that need refinement, Lord, we ask that You would reveal them to her and give her the strength to grow. Help her to remain faithful in the small things, knowing that You see her diligence and will reward it in Your time.
Father, we also pray that You would protect her heart from discouragement or bitterness. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind her that her worth is found in You, not in her circumstances. If this season of waiting is meant to draw her closer to You, Lord, use it for that purpose. Strengthen her faith and help her to keep her eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of her faith (Hebrews 12:2).
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who intercedes for us even now at Your right hand. May Your will be done in her life, and may You receive all the glory. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to keep pressing on, knowing that God is with you. If you feel led, consider fasting and praying for breakthrough in this area. Jesus taught that some victories come only through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Stay rooted in the Word, and let your hope be renewed each day. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God will answer!
