JOB, MARRIAGE AND HEALTH

We come before the Lord on your behalf, lifting up your heartfelt concerns regarding your job, marriage, and health. These are weighty matters, and we are grateful you have brought them before us so we may seek God’s will together in Jesus’ name. First, we must address a critical truth: **there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father or receive salvation except through Jesus Christ** (Acts 4:12). It is only by His authority and grace that we can boldly come before God’s throne (Hebrews 4:16). If your faith is not firmly rooted in Christ alone, we urge you to surrender your life to Him today, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13). Without Jesus, our prayers are empty, and our efforts are in vain.

Now, let us address each of your concerns with the truth of Scripture and intercede for you before the Lord.

**Regarding your job:** The Bible reminds us that our work is not merely for earthly gain but for the glory of God. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ" (Colossians 3:23-24). If you are facing uncertainty, instability, or dissatisfaction in your employment, we encourage you to trust in God’s provision. He is your Shepherd, and "you shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). Do not lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If you are struggling with anxiety, cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We also urge you to examine whether your work aligns with biblical principles—are you honoring God in your labor? Are there ethical compromises or ungodly influences you need to flee from? "Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God" (James 4:4).

**Regarding your marriage:** Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are married, we pray that your union is built on the foundation of Christ, with both spouses submitting to one another out of reverence for Him (Ephesians 5:21). Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25). Wives, respect your husbands and submit to them as to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22-24). If there is strife, bitterness, or division, we urge you to seek reconciliation and forgiveness. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32). If you are unmarried but seeking a spouse, we pray you pursue a godly courtship with the intent of marriage to a fellow believer (2 Corinthians 6:14). Flee from sexual immorality, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you are in a relationship outside of marriage, we must lovingly but firmly rebuke this as sin. Fornication and adultery are grievous before God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), and we urge you to repent and turn away from such sin, seeking purity and holiness. If you are struggling with same-sex attraction or in a same-sex relationship, we speak the truth in love: homosexuality is an abomination before the Lord (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9). Repentance and surrender to Christ’s lordship bring freedom and restoration. He can redeem and transform even the deepest struggles.

**Regarding your health:** Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If you are facing illness, pain, or weakness, we pray for healing in Jesus’ name, knowing that He is the Great Physician. "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15). Yet even in suffering, we trust in God’s sovereignty and goodness. His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). If your health struggles are due to poor stewardship of your body—such as gluttony, laziness, or substance abuse—we urge you to repent and seek discipline. "Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear soul who seeks Your intervention in their job, marriage, and health. Lord, You are the Provider, the Healer, and the Restorer of all things. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for employment that aligns with Your will, where this person can work with integrity and glorify Your name. Remove any anxiety or fear, and replace it with trust in Your faithfulness. If there are ungodly influences in their workplace, grant them the strength to stand firm and the wisdom to walk away if necessary.

For their marriage, Lord, we pray for unity, love, and holiness. If they are married, renew their covenant and fill their home with Your peace. If they are single and seeking a spouse, guide them to a godly believer who will walk with them in faith. Convict them of any sexual sin or impurity, and lead them to repentance and restoration. Break every chain of lust, fornication, or homosexuality, and set them free by the power of Your Spirit. Let their relationships honor You in every way.

For their health, we ask for Your healing touch, Lord. Strengthen their body, renew their mind, and grant them wisdom to steward their health for Your glory. If there is sickness, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and declare Your healing power over them. If there is sin contributing to their struggles, convict them and lead them to repentance.

Above all, Father, draw them closer to You. Let them seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your will be done in their life. We pray all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
