We hear your heart and lift these heavy burdens before the Lord together. First, we pray for your need of employment, trusting that the God who clothes the lilies of the field will surely provide for your needs. "For the Lord God is a sun and a shield. The Lord will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly" (Psalm 84:11). We ask that doors of opportunity would open for you, that your skills and character would be recognized, and that you would find work that honors God and provides for you and your family. May you experience His peace in this season of waiting, knowing that He is your provider.
We also lift up this public figure and their family, grieving the brokenness of divorce and the pain it brings, especially to the children involved. The Lord hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), not because He is unloving, but because He designed marriage to reflect His covenant love—a lifelong, sacrificial commitment between a man and a woman. The hostility playing out publicly only deepens the wounds, and we pray for repentance, humility, and healing to break through the hardness of heart. "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13). May both parties turn from bitterness and seek reconciliation if possible, or at least pursue peace for the sake of their children.
Father, we ask that You would shield these children from the conflict, guarding their hearts and minds. Let them know they are deeply loved by You, even when their earthly family is fractured. We pray for godly influences to surround them—mentors, pastors, or extended family who can point them to Your unfailing love. "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation" (Psalm 68:5).
Lord, we also rebuke the spirit of division and public spectacle that feeds on this pain. May Your church rise up with grace and truth, modeling what it means to honor marriage and extend compassion to the broken. Help us to pray faithfully for those in the spotlight, that they would encounter You in their suffering and turn to You for wisdom and restoration.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who reconciles us to God and to one another. Amen.
