Jesus, i bring to You the family of dorothy who lost her life today fishing for crabs. dorothy was an outstanding Servant that took care of peoples needs before her own; who did not have anyone to care for them. as a church family we know that dorothy is now with You; smiling down at us, but help us to understand and deal with the loss of her presence. she not only served You; bringing those who were lost, but she helped each member of this community and touched our hearts. today, i am deeply saddened as i carry the burden for her family, the loss of a wife, mother, aunt and above all the loss of one so special to the community. i watched her spoon feed someone who was not capable of feeding herself. that is how special she was, always helping others. be with her husband, her family as they mourn her loss; minister to them, heal their broken hearts. Jesus, i want to thank You for sending dorothy to us, her smile, her talk and listening to her prayer requests at church. thank You for her time here on earth. AMEN....

Sweet Jesus, thank You for giving Your own life so that we may be able to spend eternity with You. I know that Dorothy is shouting Your praises right now as she kneels at Your throne. I thank You for this life that touched so many others. Lord, the angels in heaven welcomed her there and the loved ones who had already passed on. Even though her family is glad she made it there, there will be many tears they shed here in missing her. Father, I pray for them to feel Your presence surrounding them, letting them know that she is there with You and patiently waiting for them to some day join her there. Comfort their hearts Father, and lead them home. In Jesus' name, Amen.
