We join with you in pleading with the Lord of the harvest, Jesus Christ, for He himself said, Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession, Psalm 2:8 WEB. We echo your urgent request for workers and laborers to be called, prepared, provided for, and sent out into His harvest. Indeed, the agricultural crop readiness does not last forever, and the time is short.
Let us also remember Jesus' words:
Don't you say, 'There are yet four months until the harvest comes?' Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest. John 4:35 WEB.
He is saying this to us today. People are ready to be brought into the kingdom, but we need to be obedient in going out to reach them.
We pray for all the needs of those going out: calling, intimacy with Jesus, power to know, do, and show the Word, to hear and obey Jesus' voice, provision, and the protection from sin and the evil one. We agree in Jesus' name.
Jesus, You taught us to pray:
Don't lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Matthew 6:13 WEB.
And,
Not as the world gives, give I to you. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. John 14:27 WEB.
And,
I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one. John 17:15 WEB.
Loving Savior and Lord of the harvest, grant that all may know You and Your protection, as they go out into Your harvest and do Your will.
We are pleased that you have the desire to share your testimony of salvation. Let all of us be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have, 1 Peter 3:15 WEB. Let faith come from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ, Romans 10:17 WEB. We agree that as we share, the faith of others will be built up.
We are also praying that as you and all of us share, that the fields will continue to be ripe and ready for harvest, and that all will be drawn by the Father, to Jesus, No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day. John 6:44 WEB.
We also remember that no one comes to the Father unless by Jesus, his son, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB.
Jesus, we come to You now as Lord of the harvest, send forth laborers into Your harvest. We ask this in Your name, for You are the name by which we can be saved, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB.
We are encouraged as we go, for You have all authority in heaven and on earth, Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Matthew 28:18 WEB.
We praise You and thank You, Jesus, that You are the Lord of the harvest. Amen.
