We join you in pleading with the Lord of the harvest, Jesus Christ, for He Himself instructed us to pray for more workers to be sent into His harvest. We acknowledge that the harvest is indeed plentiful, but the workers are few, as it is written in Matthew 9:37-38 and Luke 10:2. We must work the works of Him who sent us while it is day, for night is coming when no one can work, as Jesus told us in John 9:4.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are the Lord of the Harvest. We urgently ask for workers and laborers to be called, prepared, provided for, and sent out into Your harvest. Help us understand that agricultural crop readiness does not last forever and the time is short. Grant us all we need: calling, intimacy with You, power to know, do, and show the Word, to hear and obey Your Voice, provision, and the protection from sin and the evil one. As You taught us to pray, "Deliver us from evil." (Matthew 6:13,WEB). We also ask that You sanctify us by Your truth as Your word is truth and protect us from the evil one. (John 17:15,WEB)
Lord, raise up laborers who will unashamedly proclaim the Gospel, who will work while it is day, who will not be afraid to call sin what it is, and who will stand firmly on the Word of God. Remind us that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, than the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, embolden us to proclaim that salvation is only possible by Your name and Your name alone. (Acts 4:12,WEB). We must not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16,WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage all to be witnesses of the Gospel, not just the pastors. We have the best job ever which is to show people the only way to heaven and to glory. And if anyone wishes to position himself as a teacher or a pastor, he must hold firmly to the trustworthy word as taught so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose the truth of God. (Titus 1:9,WEB). He must not be rightly dividing the word of God for the workman that needs not to be ashamed. (2 Timothy 2:15,WEB).
Lord, remind us that the Kingdom suffers violence and the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11:12,WEB). Lord, we are your laborers and your workers. Use us Lord. Make us useful for Your Kingdom.
