We join you in this urgent cry to the Lord of the Harvest, lifting our voices together in agreement for laborers to be raised up, equipped, and sent forth into the fields ripe for harvest. The Word of God is clearโ*"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest"* (Luke 10:2 WEB). This is not a call to be taken lightly, for the time is short, and the need is great. *"We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work"* (John 9:4 WEB).
Father, we stand before You as Your servants, acknowledging that without You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). We ask that You would stir the hearts of Your people, calling them out of complacency and into the fields where souls are perishing without the knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Raise up men and women who are willing to go, not in their own strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit, as Acts 1:8 declares: *"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."*
Lord, we recognize that the harvest is not just a future event but a present reality. The acceptable time is nowโ*"for he says, 'At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you.' Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2 WEB). We plead with You to break the hearts of Your people for the lost, that they may see the world through Your eyes and respond with urgency and compassion.
We also lift up those who are already laboring in the fields, both near and far. Strengthen them, Lord, when they grow weary. Provide for their every needโfinancially, physically, and spirituallyโso that they may continue the work You have called them to. *"Give us today our daily bread"* (Matthew 6:11 WEB), and protect them from the schemes of the evil one, for *"I do not pray that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one"* (John 17:15 WEB).
Father, we ask that You would fill us with Your love, for without love, our efforts are in vain. *"That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christโs love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God"* (Ephesians 3:17-19 WEB). Let this love compel us to go, to speak, and to serve in a way that draws others to You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or hesitation that would keep Your people from stepping into the calling You have placed on their lives. *"For God didnโt give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Let us not be like the servant who buried his talent in the ground, but let us be faithful stewards of the gospel, investing it in the lives of others so that it may multiply.
Lord, we also recognize that the harvest is not limited to distant lands. There are fields ripe for harvest in our own communities, workplaces, and families. Open our eyes to see the opportunities around us, and give us the boldness to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. *"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost"* (Luke 19:10 WEB). Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
Finally, we pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit across the nations, that revival would break out in churches, cities, and countries. Let the lost be found, the broken be healed, and the captives be set free. May Your name be glorified in every corner of the earth, and may the knowledge of Your salvation fill the land as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Harvest, the Savior of the world, and the only name by which men can be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your kingdom come in power and glory. Amen.
