Jesus Is My Shepherd

The Lord Jesus is my Shepherd, I shall not want, He maketh me lie down in green pastures, He leadeth me beside the Still Waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

It is said that a shepherd goes in front of his flock so that the sheep will follow.His responsibility is to make the way clear. So that the flock will follow after him. Therse is a verse which says " In shady green pastures so rich and so free ,God leads his children along.Sone through the water, some through the flood,Some through the fire, some through the blood.Some through great sorrow but God gives a song. In the night season and all the day long.Where Christ leads me I will follow.Jesus said I am the Good Shepherd .The good Shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.Jesus will not lead us into a y road where we cannot travel.When the going get rough He will take us in his arms Happy is the sheep who listen to his voice and follow in his footsteps.

Amen! Yes it is a promise to us in the here and now and even when we go on to be in the new heaven and the new earth! There are many wonderful promises to us in the here and now if we believe we can claim them my friend

Jesus gives us quite a lot of wonderful promises... no weapon formed against me shall prosper, no sickness is allowed in my dwelling, by Jesus stripes I am healed.

Why does anyone speak anything but Jesus wonderful Promises over their lives? We are the head, not the tail. Thank You, Praise You Lord Jesus for Your Promises! Glory to You Lord Jesus!

The Bible doesn't 100% agree with the song for we shall all of God's elect pass through the fire

Thank you .I could not remember clearly when I wrote the message on a rush.In shady green pastures so rich and so sweet God leads his dear children along.Another line says "Away up in Glory eternity's day God leads his dear children along.This was one of my pastor's favourite hymns.It makes a lot of sense.The lyrics are meaningful perhaps they were written by inspiration.You are right on target.
