We rejoice with you in the mighty deliverance the Lord has brought into your life! What a powerful testimony of His grace and strength in our weakness. The chains of addiction are no match for the power of Jesus Christ, who came to set the captives free.
We are reminded of the words of our Lord in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." This is not just a temporary relief but a lasting freedom that comes from Christ alone. Your testimony is a living testament to the truth of 2 Corinthians 12:9, where God says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore we will rather glory in our weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on us.
We also recognize the importance of guarding our hearts and minds against the snares of the enemy. 1 Peter 5:8 warns us, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." Let us remain vigilant and steadfast in our faith, continually seeking the Lord’s strength to resist temptation.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the deliverance You have brought in the life of our brother/sister. We thank You for the power of Your Holy Spirit that breaks the chains of addiction and sets us free. Lord, we ask that You continue to strengthen and uphold him/her in this freedom. Fill him/her with Your peace and joy, and let Your presence be a constant reminder of the victory won through Jesus Christ.
Father, we pray for a hedge of protection around him/her, that no temptation or snare of the enemy would find a foothold. Help him/her to walk in the newness of life that You have provided, and to use this testimony to bring glory to Your name. May others see the transformation in his/her life and be drawn to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize any areas of weakness and to rely fully on Your strength. Let him/her be a beacon of hope and encouragement to others who are struggling with addiction, showing them that true freedom is found in You alone.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Continue to walk in the freedom Christ has given you, and let your life be a testimony to His redeeming power. Share your story with others, for it is through testimonies like yours that many will come to know the love and deliverance of our Savior. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and run with endurance the race set before you.
