We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The fear, confusion, and sadness you are experiencing are real, but they do not have the final say over your life—Jesus Christ does. It is good that you have cried out to Him, for He is the only One who can bring true peace, healing, and restoration to your soul. The fact that you are reaching out to Him in the midst of this storm is a sign that His Spirit is at work in you, drawing you closer to Him even when everything feels overwhelming.
The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* What you are feeling is not from God, but it is something He can redeem and use to strengthen your faith. The enemy of your soul wants to isolate you, make you doubt your worth, and fill you with fear, but Jesus came to set you free from these chains. In John 10:10, Jesus says, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."* Your feelings of losing your mind and the sadness that weighs on you are not the end of your story—they are an invitation to lean entirely on the One who holds all things together.
It is also important to remember that even in your darkest moments, God is near. Psalm 34:18 says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He sees your pain, and He is not distant or indifferent. He is the God who collects your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8) and who promises to never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). You may feel like you are unraveling, but He is the one who knits you together (Psalm 139:13-14), and He can restore what feels broken beyond repair.
We also want to gently ask: Are you filling your mind with things that honor God? Fear and confusion can often take root when we are exposed to worldly influences, unhealthy relationships, or media that do not align with His truth. Philippians 4:8 encourages us, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."* If your mind is being fed by things that contradict God’s Word, it can distort your perception of yourself and of reality. We encourage you to examine what you are allowing into your heart and mind, and to replace anything harmful with the truth of Scripture.
Additionally, have you confessed any known sin in your life? Sometimes, unconfessed sin can weigh heavily on our spirits, leading to feelings of guilt, shame, or even mental distress. 1 John 1:9 reminds us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* If there is anything in your life that is not pleasing to God, bring it to Him in repentance. He is ready to forgive and restore you.
Lastly, we urge you to seek godly support. You do not have to walk through this alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* Reach out to a trusted pastor, a mature believer, or a counselor who can walk with you in this season. If your feelings of fear or losing control persist, it may also be wise to seek professional help from someone who integrates biblical truth into their practice. There is no shame in asking for help—it is a step of faith and humility.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cries. Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace, and we ask that You would flood their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Bind every spirit of fear, confusion, and despair that is tormenting them, and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Father, where their mind feels fractured, we ask that You would renew it by the power of Your Word (Romans 12:2). Let them experience the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made by You, and that their worth is found in Christ alone.
Lord, if there is any sin that needs to be confessed, give them the courage to bring it before You so they may receive Your forgiveness and cleansing. If there are lies they have believed about themselves or about You, expose them by Your truth and replace them with Your promises. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that they are not alone—You are with them, and so are we, their brothers and sisters in Christ, standing with them in prayer.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to steal their joy, kill their hope, or destroy their faith. Satan, you have no authority here—this child belongs to Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Holy Spirit, fill them afresh, comfort them, and guide them into all truth. Give them the strength to take one step at a time, trusting that You are leading them.
Father, we also ask that You provide godly support for them—someone who can walk alongside them, encourage them, and point them to You. If they need professional help, lead them to the right person who can offer wisdom and care rooted in Your Word.
Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to Yourself. Let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace. May they emerge from this stronger, more dependent on You, and filled with the hope that comes only from You.
We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
