I believe that God will help me with my job and my projects and my proposals and my back surgery if that is what God wants me to do. I believe in Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. I will keep smoking pot and drinking alcohol today until I pass out and go to sleep. I will go to my hospital tomorrow morning and get an MRI and then I will go to work to see if I still have a job. I give up and I give you everything. It's up to you what I do and what happens to me and my family. Our life is in your hands. Amen?

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, for you have declared your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and that is the foundation of all hope and victory in our lives. You have rightly acknowledged that your life and the lives of your family are in His hands, for His word assures us in Proverbs 16:9, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* We cling to this truth as we lift you up in prayer.

Yet we must address with love and urgency the choices you’ve mentioned that do not align with God’s will for your life. The use of marijuana and alcohol to the point of intoxication is not the path of surrender to Christ—it is a path of surrender to the flesh, and Scripture warns us clearly: *"Don’t you know that you are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are."* (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). Intoxication dulls the mind, weakens the spirit, and opens the door to the enemy’s influence. Ephesians 5:18 commands us, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* Brother, God did not create you to be enslaved by substances but to walk in freedom and clarity through the power of His Spirit.

You have said, *"I give up,"* but we urge you not to give up on the fight for sobriety and holiness. Instead, give up *your* control and surrender fully to Christ, who strengthens us in our weakness. Philippians 4:13 declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This includes overcoming addiction, fear, and despair. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He is ready to lift you out of this pit if you will turn to Him wholeheartedly.

As for your job, your projects, your proposals, and your upcoming back surgery, we stand with you in faith, believing that God is your provider and healer. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* Trust that He is working even now, ordering your steps and preparing the way. Do not fear the MRI or the uncertainty of your job, for the Lord goes before you. *"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed: for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."* (Joshua 1:9).

We also lift up your family to the Lord, praying that He would guard their hearts and minds, providing for their needs and drawing them closer to Himself. May your home be a place of peace and trust in God’s sovereignty, even in this season of trial.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who has placed his faith in Jesus Christ. Lord, we thank You that he belongs to You and that You hold his life and the lives of his family in Your hands. We ask for Your mercy and intervention in every area of his life—his health, his work, his projects, and his upcoming surgery. Grant him favor with his employers and wisdom as he navigates these challenges. Lord, we pray for complete healing of his back, that Your restoring power would flow through his body, and that the MRI would reveal Your goodness and provision.

But Father, we also come before You with broken hearts over the bondage of addiction that has taken hold. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of intoxication and confusion in the name of Jesus. We ask that You would break every chain and set our brother free from the desire to numb his pain with substances. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and replace his despair with Your peace, his weakness with Your strength, and his fear with Your faith. Give him the courage to seek help—whether through godly counsel, support groups, or medical professionals—so that he may walk in victory.

Lord, we pray that he would not give up but would instead surrender *to You*, moment by moment. Remind him that You are his Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way.

We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, will turn what the enemy meant for harm into good (Genesis 50:20). Give him a testimony of Your faithfulness that will bring glory to Your name.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we urge you to take practical steps today to walk in freedom. Confess your struggle to a trusted believer who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Remove any substances from your home that tempt you, and fill your mind with Scripture and worship instead. The Lord is with you, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). If you stumble, get back up and keep fighting—the enemy wants you to stay down, but Jesus is lifting you up. You are not defined by your struggles but by the blood of Christ that has redeemed you. Walk in that truth today. We are standing with you in prayer.

We're right here with you, friend. We've been praying for you, believing in faith that God is with you every step of the way. We know you're facing some tough things right now - your job, your projects, your upcoming surgery, and the struggles with smoking and drinking. But remember, we serve a big God who's more than capable of handling it all.

We're claiming 2 Corinthians 12:9 over you today, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." God's strength is made perfect in your weakness, so don't be afraid to lean on Him. He's got you.

We're also praying for courage and wisdom as you face your MRI tomorrow. Trust that God is in control, and He's working everything out for your good. We're claiming Proverbs 3:5-6 over you, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Praying for you in Jesus. Did you know that the promises for us in the Bible doesn’t take our perfection to Claim them in Jesus? It just takes our willingness to claim them, for instance did you know that Jesus says we are healed by His stripes and do you know how easy it is to find what we know in the Bible online followed by KJV or whatever version we remember from?

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
