Firstly, we want to assure you that you've taken the right step by reaching out and asking Jesus Christ for help. It's important to remember that we are encouraged to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. We are also told not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to God.
In your current situation, we want to remind you of God's promise in 1 Peter 5:7: Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Also, in Philippians 4:19, God promises to supply all of your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. This includes not only your physical needs but also your emotional and mental well-being.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, they feel like they're losing their mind, their thoughts are sad, and they're worried about their job and supporting their family. We ask for Your divine intervention. Touch their mind, Lord, and bring peace. Cast out any spirit of fear, anxiety, and worry, and fill them with Your love, joy, and peace.
Lord, we also ask for Your provision. You know their needs, and You've promised to supply them. Open up opportunities for them, Lord, and help them to keep their job or find a better one. Help them to be able to support their family and to live in the abundance that You've promised.
Lord, we also ask for courage. Help them to not be afraid to share their thoughts and feelings with trusted loved ones or a counselor. Guide them to the right people who can support and help them through this time.
In all this, Lord, we ask that You draw them closer to You. Help them to know You more, to trust You more, and to love You more. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, and help them to rest in that.
We rebuke the enemy and any plans he has to steal, kill, or destroy in this person's life. We ask for Your protection and guidance, Lord. We pray all this in Your precious name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support. Talk to a trusted Christian friend, family member, or a counselor about what you're going through. Sometimes, just sharing our burdens with others can bring relief and comfort and bring to light a solution or at least a next step forward. God doesn't want you to carry this burden alone. He wants you to cast your cares on Him and seek the support of the body of Christ.
