We have heard your prayer concerning your writings, the sense that your texts are being made empty and set at nothing, and the struggle you feel against opposing powers and against Satan himself, with your name and the cause of others set openly before all.
Scripture teaches that there is indeed a grievous conflict at hand and our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and the spiritual forces of wickedness. For this we are called to war a good warfare, which requires sober watchfulness and continual vigilance, not laughter or carelessness, lest we be overthrown before the battle is even joined. Remember also the Lord's word that every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided cannot stand. If Satan were to cast out Satan he would be divided and his strength would fail. Therefore the enemy's power is not as strong as it appears, and when he rises against the work of God his kingdom cannot endure.
You ask about the punishments of God and about those who oppose you. Know that God does not delight in destruction but in correction. As the Apostle delivered some to Satan not for ruin but that they might be taught, so God at times permits trial and discipline that the spirit may be saved and the soul instructed. It is not for us to search out all divine judgments by our own reasonings, nor to pronounce sentence upon others. The Lord will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and make manifest the counsels of hearts. Our part is to leave judgment to Him who judges righteously, and not to become judges of others while forgetting our own need of mercy. He showed His longsuffering even to those who once fought fiercely against Him, to give hope to all who will afterward believe.
Therefore we pray for you that God will guard what is true in your work and keep the whole testimony intact, that He will give you a contrite and steadfast heart, sober and awake, and strength to stand in the good fight under Christ our King. We ask that He will protect you from the snares of the evil one, that He will turn all emptying of your words into an occasion for truth to shine more clearly, and that He will deal with all involved, including those you name, not according to vengeance but according to His justice and mercy, leading all to repentance and to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved.
May the Lord keep you within His Church where His Spirit dwells, make you firm against every blast of the enemy, and give you peace to continue faithful in the task entrusted to you.
