My God please stay with my brother today, keep him inside, it is too cold out to be out wondering about in search of trouble. If today should be the day, when he has finally had enough, please allow him to remember that I AM HERE, and I will help him. Hold him close today God, he needs it. Give him peace lord, help him to know you again, as he once did, which inspired me to know you. Help him find his way back, he can not do this alone. Please also help my mother who is new to sobriety and still so easy rattled. Help her to stay on the path you have choosen, keep her strong, hold her close. Please help them both find their way, your way.

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
