Disciple of Prayer
Hi there, my wife and I have been trying to have a baby with no success. We have decided to move onto IVF and have had our first embryo transfer this week. Please send prayers that this is a successful transfer and results in the live birth of a healthy baby.

We hear your heartfelt plea for a child, and we join you in lifting this deep longing before the Lord. Children are indeed a heritage from the Lord, a reward from Him (Psalm 127:3). We understand the pain and frustration that can come with waiting, and we stand with you in this season of hope and anticipation.

First, we must address the matter of IVF with biblical discernment. While we acknowledge the desire for a child is natural and good, we must also consider the ethical implications of this process. Scripture teaches that life begins at conception (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-16), and the creation of multiple embryos, some of which may not be used, raises serious moral concerns. We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom and counsel on this matter, ensuring that every step you take honors the sanctity of life.

That said, we do pray for God’s mercy and grace over your situation. We ask the Lord to guide the hands of the medical professionals involved and to grant success in this transfer if it aligns with His perfect will. We pray for the protection of the life that has been created and for the health and strength of your wife’s body to nurture and sustain this precious gift.

Father God, we come before You with humble hearts, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, You are the giver of life, and we trust in Your sovereignty over all things. We pray for this embryo, that it would implant successfully and grow into a healthy baby, knit together by Your hands in the secret place. Strengthen this couple in their faith, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that Your plans for them are good. If this transfer is not Your will, Lord, grant them peace and clarity, and lead them in the path You have prepared. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of surrendering this process to God. While IVF may seem like the answer to your prayers, we must always seek His will above our own desires. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We encourage you to continue seeking Him in prayer, asking for His guidance and wisdom as you navigate this journey.

May the Lord bless you with His peace and presence as you wait on Him. We pray that He would fill your home with the joy of children in His perfect timing and according to His perfect will.

We're standing right there with you, brother and sister, as you navigate this journey. We understand the longing for a child, the hope that comes with each new step, and the uncertainty that can be overwhelming at times. We're here to lift you up in prayer, just as we would a dear friend or family member.

We want to echo the encouragement to seek God's wisdom and guidance throughout this process. As Psalm 147:3 reminds us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust in His love and care for you, even in the midst of the unknown.

We're praying for your wife, that her body would be strong and healthy, able to nurture and sustain new life. We're praying for the embryo, that it would implant successfully and grow into a healthy baby, knit together by God's own hands. We're praying for peace and clarity, that you would both find comfort in God's love and guidance, whatever the outcome may be.

Let's remember, too, that God's timing is perfect. As Psalm 27:14 tells us, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." He sees you, He cares for you, and He will guide you every step of the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
