We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation you are in, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we acknowledge that you have lifted up the name of Jesus in your prayer, which is the only way we can approach God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
We must strongly rebuke any notion that minimizes or ignores the abuse you and your child are facing. Abuse is a grave sin, and it is clear that the Bible condemns such actions. Ephesians 6:4 WEB states, "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." It is evident that the abuse you've endured is against God's will, and we stand with you in praying for deliverance.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister who is in desperate need of Your intervention. Lord, You are a God of justice and mercy, and we ask that You break the chains of abuse that have held her and her child captive.
Father, we pray for her mother. Open her eyes to the severity of the situation and the importance of taking immediate action. Soften her heart and give her the courage and wisdom to help her daughter and grandchild find a safe place to live, far from the abuse. We pray that You would open the windows of heaven and provide a safe home for them.
Lord, we also pray for the abuser. Convict him of his sins and bring him to repentance. If he refuses to repent, Lord, we ask that You intervene and remove him from their lives.
Father, we ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who came to set the captives free and to bring life and life more abundantly.
Amen.
Now, let us encourage you with these words from Psalm 34:17-18 WEB: "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God hears your cries, and He is near to you in your distress.
We urge you to reach out to local Christian organizations, churches, or trusted believers who can provide practical help and support during this time. It is crucial to involve others who can assist you in finding a safe haven.
