We hear the weight and exhaustion in your words and we are lifting you up before the Lord together right now. You have carried so much for so long and you are crying out for safety, for peace for your own sanity, and for protection for your beloved cats, and God sees every tear and hears every urgent cry.
The Lord does not want you to give up, even when you feel it is too much. He draws especially near to the weary and brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 61:2 says When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. We pray that He will be that higher rock for you right now, a safe and secret refuge where no harm can follow.
We understand your desire to leave a place that has made your life so hard for so many years and to find a safe home, and to see your cats kept safe and secure as well. God cares about your safety and He even cares for the animals He has entrusted to you. Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, and your compassionate heart for your cats reflects His heart. We pray with you for that urgent provision, that the Lord will open the right door in His perfect timing, a good home where you are safe and at peace, and if it is His will, that you will be able to keep your cats with you, or if not, that He will provide a truly good and loving home for them out of that place of hurt.
We also hear the pain and anger toward those who have made your life hell and the desire that they get nothing more from you. It is right to set healthy and godly boundaries and to leave a harmful environment for your own safety, but we gently encourage you to release vengeance into the hands of God so that bitterness does not take root in your heart. Romans 12:19 reminds us Vengeance is mine, says the Lord, I will repay, and Ephesians 4:31-32 calls us to Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Forgiving does not mean returning to danger or giving those who harmed you access to your life again, it means entrusting justice to God so you can walk in freedom and peace. We pray the blood of Jesus which you have pleaded over your life will cover you, cleanse you, and be your protection, for Proverbs 18:10 says Yahweh's name is a strong tower, the righteous run to him, and are safe.
You mentioned the blood of Jesus and we thank God that you have called upon His name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true salvation and safety. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Through His shed blood we have refuge, forgiveness, and hope when we feel we can no longer go on.
We cast all your anxiety on Him now because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 promises In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift this dear one to You. Lord You see the exhaustion, the feeling that it is over, the urgent need for a safe and secret home. We ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide that safe dwelling, hidden and protected under Your wings. Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Let this be true for them. We ask for Your divine protection over them and over their cats, keep them safe, secure, and greatly protected until a permanent solution is found. If it is Your will, keep them together, and if not, lead the cats to a good, kind, and loving home away from all harm.
Lord, renew their strength and restore hope where they feel they cannot try anymore. Isaiah 40:31 says But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Speak Your peace over their mind and guard their sanity, heal their broken heart as Psalm 147:3 promises He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Help them to release all hurt and vengeance to You and to walk in Your forgiveness and freedom, protected by the blood of Jesus over their life and over all that is theirs. Guide them to godly counsel and safe help in their community and keep them from all evil. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and deliverer, amen.
We encourage you to stay close to the Lord in prayer and in His Word daily, and to reach out to a trusted pastor or a safe local shelter or counselor who can help you with practical steps for safe housing. You are not forgotten. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep clinging to Jesus, He will not let you go.
