Disciple of Prayer
Hello to everyone. I want to make a prayer request about my ###. My ### is suing her job and in the process, she is refusing to listen to advice from our mother, our other ###, and myself. We have been trying to help her financially and she will not help herself to get her separation letter from her job. She just wants to wait on her payout that can possibly be in 1 to ### years to pay things. Also, if she even got the payout, she most likely will not help her family with it anyways. Not that I want her funds, it's just that my ### has been very nasty and mean to us for years and I really think in my opinion, that the lawsuit should be canceled because it's causing family arguments, trouble, chaos, financial stress, and health issues of depression towards the family. My ### is refusing to find another job and told me yesterday that she needs to use all of my fixed income and stop paying some of my other bills so I can help her not have to go back to work. She is under a helper that is telling her how to sue her job and she claims she knows more than a lawyer to my ### and the helper is guiding her wrong directions. When she has to tell companies about what happened at her job, she freezes up and forgets what to say. The issue to me is mental illness and I pray she stops it! Also, my ### applied for unemployment and the claimant specialist is at battle with her to get the unemployment benefits because she and her helper cannot explain thoroughly about how she left her job. She has been having to travel long miles to get to a lawyer. My mother, my other ###, and I cannot take it! Jesus please spread your Holy Spirit over this issue going on with my ###. I pray in your name Jesus Christ that this whole lawsuit be canceled because it's got us going in circles of issues of severe spiritual, health, and financial crisis. Everyone please help me pray about this situation. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and the deep distress this situation has brought upon your family. First, we want to acknowledge the love and concern you have for your sister, even as you express frustration and exhaustion. It is clear that this lawsuit has become a source of division, financial strain, and emotional turmoil, and we stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom and intervention.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 15:22, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* It is concerning that your sister is rejecting the wise advice of her family and relying instead on guidance that may not be grounded in truth or wisdom. We must rebuke the spirit of pride and stubbornness that has taken hold, for Proverbs 16:18 warns, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* We pray that God would break through her resistance and soften her heart to receive godly counsel.

We also see the strain this is placing on your finances and well-being. Scripture is clear that we are to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us. In 1 Timothy 5:8, we read, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."* While we are called to help those in need, we are not called to enable irresponsibility or harm our own financial stability. We rebuke the manipulation and entitlement that would seek to drain your resources under the guise of "help." You are not responsible for carrying a burden that your sister has created through her own choices.

The mental and emotional toll this is taking on your family is not lost on us. We lift up your sister, asking God to reveal any deeper issues of the heart—whether fear, insecurity, or unhealed wounds—that may be driving her actions. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We pray for God’s peace to fill your home and for His truth to penetrate every lie that has taken root in this situation.

Most critically, we must address the spiritual foundation of this request. While you have called on the name of Jesus, we want to emphasize the power and authority we have in Him alone. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that we must rely on for breakthrough. We rebuke every spirit of confusion, division, and financial bondage in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that this lawsuit will not prosper if it is not aligned with God’s will, and we pray for divine intervention to either bring it to a swift and just resolution or to dissolve it entirely if it is not of Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family and the turmoil they are facing. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom to prevail in this situation. Soften the heart of our sister, that she may receive the counsel of her family and turn away from paths that lead to destruction. Break every chain of pride, stubbornness, and deception that has taken hold of her. We rebuke the spirit of manipulation and entitlement that seeks to drain the resources and peace of this family. Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we pray for financial provision and stability for this family. Provide wisdom in managing their resources and protect them from any decisions that would bring harm. We ask for clarity and direction for our sister as she navigates this legal battle. If this lawsuit is not aligned with Your will, we pray that You would bring it to an end. If there is a just resolution, we ask that You guide her steps and grant her favor.

Father, we also lift up the emotional and mental strain this family is enduring. Heal their hearts, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their minds from anxiety and depression, and remind them of Your faithfulness in every season. We declare that You are their provider, their protector, and their peace.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw this family closer to You. Let this trial be an opportunity for them to seek Your face and to grow in faith. May they find their strength and hope in You alone. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on their behalf. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to continue seeking God’s guidance in this matter. Surround yourself with believers who can offer support and prayer, and do not hesitate to set boundaries that protect your own well-being. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not abandon you in this trial. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

We're here for you, standing in faith with you and your family. We've heard your cry and we're lifting this situation up to God together. We know this is a tough time, with so many aspects causing stress and worry. Let's focus on what we can do, starting with prayer.

First, we pray for your sister. Lord, we ask You to soften her heart, to help her see the wisdom in the advice of her family. We ask that You reveal any underlying issues that might be driving her actions, and we trust You to bring healing and understanding. We pray for her mental and emotional well-being, that she would find peace and clarity in this storm.

Next, we pray for financial provision and stability for your family. Lord, we ask You to guide your sister in her legal battle, to give her wisdom in her decisions, and to protect your family from any further financial strain. We trust that You will provide for all your needs, according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

We also pray for unity and peace in your family. Lord, we ask You to break any chains of division, to bring healing and restoration. We pray that this trial would bring your family closer together, drawing you all to seek God's face and grow in faith.

Lastly, we pray for protection and guidance. Lord, we ask You to protect your family from any further harm, to guide your steps, and to give you all wisdom and understanding. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are always with us, working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

Let's keep praying together, standing firm in our faith, and trusting in God's unfailing love. We're in this together, and we know that God is greater than any challenge we face. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
