I am praying today because I have been in social isolation for 10 years and wish to be comfortable and ready emotionally to go into social situations or at least go to church. Even online communication is extremely difficult. Help me Lord in Jesus name

We hear the weight of what you have shared and we join you in prayer before our Father, lifting up this long season of isolation that has lasted ### years. We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5, and Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13. We praise God that you have called on Him in Jesus name.

We know this isolation has been painful and that even online communication feels extremely difficult, and we want you to know that God sees you right where you are. He understands loneliness and He has not forgotten you. His word says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and God sets the lonely in families Psalm 68:6. You were not created to walk alone, and your desire to be comfortable and emotionally ready to enter social situations and to go to church is a good and godly desire that honors Him. We are not to give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another Hebrews 10:25, because fellowship strengthens our faith and reminds us we belong to the body of Christ.

We also understand the fear and anxiety that can build after so long apart, but God does not want you to remain in fear. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. He says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10, and Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you Joshua 1:9. His peace can guard your heart even when your emotions feel overwhelmed, for In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You have seen every day of these ### years of isolation, every struggle with communication, every longing to connect and to worship with others. Lord, we ask You to pour out Your comfort and healing on this wounded heart. Take away the spirit of fear and anxiety and replace it with Your power, love and self-control. Give emotional readiness and strength step by step, and make a way to return to fellowship, even to simply walk through the doors of a Bible believing church and be surrounded by Your people. Lead to a church where the gospel is preached faithfully and where love and encouragement abound, and give courage to reach out to a pastor or a trusted believer for support. Help with even the smallest interactions online and in person, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remind this dear one daily that You are near, that You will never leave nor forsake, and that You are able to restore the years of loneliness with Your presence and Your family. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to take small gentle steps as God gives you grace, perhaps beginning with prayer before any interaction, asking the Lord to be your strength. If possible, reach out to a pastor at a local church and let them know of your struggle, so they can pray with you and help you feel welcome when you visit. Even listening to a service online or arriving for a short time can be a beginning, and God honors every step taken in faith toward fellowship. Continue to bring every worry to Him in prayer, and trust that He is working to make you ready in His perfect timing. He who began a good work in you will complete it.

We hear how heavy these ten years of isolation have been, and how much courage it took to reach out and put this into words. Wanting to be ready to be around others again, even to simply walk into church, is a real and good desire, and it makes sense that even online communication feels difficult after so much time alone.

Please know you are not forgotten, and we are praying with you as you take small steps forward. After a long season apart, it often helps to make the next step very small and low pressure rather than expecting yourself to feel fully comfortable all at once.

One gentle way to begin could be to let one person at a local church know a little of what you shared here before you visit. A brief email or phone call to a pastor or welcome team to say you have been isolated for a long time and would like to come but feel nervous can make that first Sunday less overwhelming. You could ask about a quieter service time, where to sit near an exit, or if someone could meet you at the door for a few minutes. If going in person still feels like too much right now, joining a livestream service for a few weeks can be a way to feel connected while you build toward being there in person.

You do not have to rush this. God sees your heart and your desire to be among His people again.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You see the loneliness of these years and the desire to connect again. Give calm and courage for each small step, provide kind people to walk alongside, and help our friend know Your nearness and care. Lead gently toward community in Your timing. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus, You see this one who has been isolated so long. Give comfort, courage, and readiness of heart to step into church and community again, in Jesus' name. Amen.

- *"God sets the lonely in families."* (Psalm 68:6)
- *"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God."* (Isaiah 41:10)

Ten years of walking alone is a sore trial, and the Lord sees how even the smallest reach toward others, even online, feels beyond your present strength. He marks this long isolation and He hears your prayer in Jesus name.

Our Savior Himself knew this loneliness in its fullest measure. He was left alone just when, as Man, He most needed human sympathy, forsaken by those nearest to Him. Therefore He understands your sorrow not as one who has only heard of it, but as one who has borne it, and He is able to sympathize and to sustain you in it.

Yet you are not left without company, for there is a fellowship which remains when all earthly fellowship fails. The words of God's Book, made living to you by the Holy Spirit, bring heavenly company to your soul, and through our Lord Jesus Christ you may have fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. Seek Him in quiet converse through prayer and the Scriptures, and you will find that God Himself will have fellowship with you. This fellowship of communion is the first and nearest comfort, and it prepares the heart for more. If you lament your loneliness, cure it by seeking heavenly company, and you will find that though others have forsaken you, the Father is with you.

God has also made His people to be a family, and the Church of Christ meeting together is within itself a family. It is not good for the soul to remain always apart, for if it were right for one believer to remain out of church fellowship, it would be right for every other believer to remain in the same condition, and then where would the visible family be. There is no perfect assembly on earth, you must wait until you get to Heaven to find one, but there are faithful people who continue steadfast in the apostles teaching and in prayer, who will receive you with gentleness. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, so cast that burden upon the Lord who cares for you. He does not require you to be strong in yourself, but to be humble and to fall back upon the eternal fellowship of God.

May the Lord grant you comfort and readiness in His own time and way. I pray that He will quiet your anxious heart, strengthen you day by day in communion with Christ, and open a door, even a small one at first, to sit among His people, perhaps for a brief visit, perhaps to hear the Word and share in prayer, that you may taste again the blessing of being among the places round about His hill. May He who was alone in His suffering now make His presence so real to you that loneliness is met by heavenly company, and may He lead you gently back into the fellowship of His Church for your good and His glory. This I ask through Jesus Christ our only Savior, in whose name alone is salvation. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It takes courage to share that you have carried ten years of isolation, and God sees both the weight of that loneliness and the sincere desire in your heart to be ready to step back into fellowship.

The Lord does not intend for you to remain alone. He places us in a family, the Church, where we can be known, encouraged, and strengthened together. Your longing even to enter a church building again, and your struggle even with online communication, is something He understands fully. He is near to those who feel anxious and weary, and He promises a peace that guards our hearts and minds in Christ when we bring our needs to Him.

Ten years is a long time, so please be gentle with yourself as you seek to move forward. The beauty God cultivates in us is not outward confidence that appears overnight, but an inner renewal that grows steadily as we walk with Him. Anxiety that has built over many years is not overcome in a single moment, but the Lord can give you strength for each small step as you trust Him.

I will pray for you, and I encourage you to keep bringing this before the Lord each day.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You know the years of isolation and how difficult even the smallest social interaction has become. Lord, comfort this heart with Your presence and quiet the anxiety that makes fellowship feel so overwhelming. Give emotional strength and readiness in Your timing, and make a way to experience the encouragement of being with Your people, whether first in a small and gentle step toward church or in a kind conversation online or in person. Help this one to know that they are not forgotten, that they are loved by You and belong in Your family. Lead them to a local church where they will be welcomed with grace, and give courage to reach out to a pastor or trusted believer for support and prayer. Fill them with Your peace that passes understanding and with hope for each day ahead. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you are able, consider taking one small next step when you feel ready, such as contacting a pastor or church office to let them know you would like to visit and would appreciate a quiet welcome, or attending for just a part of a service and sitting where you feel most at ease. You do not have to do this alone, and God is faithful to walk with you as you seek Him and His people.

Please pray for me because I'm in a place in my life where I'm very isolated. I only have a few people who seem to be allowed close to me by God I guess (my immediate family) and even my relationships with them don't seem stable because they are often being swayed to be against me for no reason...
