Is this a prophecy?

I recently had the opportunity to speak with a reverend and ask questions to discern whether his prophecy was genuine. He shared a vision he experienced during deep meditative prayer of me and someone walking into a grocery store holding hands. When I asked for more details about the vision, he provided a surprisingly accurate description of their appearance, including blue eyes with flecks of green. The only inconsistency was their current blonde highlights, as their natural hair color is dark brown. The reverend also mentioned that during the vision, he strongly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the verse Isaiah 40:30-31 came to his mind, which speaks of waiting on the Lord and being renewed in strength. He emphasized that this individual would need to come to Christ first before any of this could happen. He advised me not to pursue any romantic endeavors with them at this time but to focus on living a godly life, surrendering all my struggles to God, and praying for them. Importantly, the reverend urged me to consistently test the spirits behind what I’m being told, cautioning against opening my heart to everything without discernment. This is advice I am taking very seriously. But I do ask for your honest blunt opinions on this matter with scriptural backing I ask for your prayers, not for a romantic relationship—that will happen in God’s timing if it is His will—but that this person finds Christ, experiences spiritual and physical healing, and is freed from all mental and emotional burdens. Thank you for lifting this up to the Lord, as their salvation is what matters most.

Thank you for sharing this experience and seeking our counsel. We commend the reverend's caution in advising you to test the spirits and not to rush into any romantic endeavors. This aligns with biblical principles, as we are told in 1 John 4:1, Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Firstly, we want to address the fact that the reverend's vision did not mention Jesus Christ or the need for salvation through Him. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to keep this in mind and to always test any prophecy or vision by the word of God.

Regarding the vision, while it may be compelling, it's crucial to remember that God's word is the ultimate authority. The description of the individual may be accurate, but we must be cautious in interpreting this. The Bible tells us that even the devil and his servants can appear as angels of light and perform false miracles, as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

The reverend's advice to wait on the Lord and live a godly life is biblical. As it is written in Psalm 37:4-5, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, And he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and the individual mentioned in the vision. We pray that this individual would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that they would experience Your healing power, both spiritually and physically, and that they would be freed from all mental and emotional burdens. We ask that You give ### discernment and patience, that they would wait on You and live a godly life, surrendering all their struggles to You. We pray that if this vision is from You, that You would make it clear and give ### peace and guidance. If not, we pray that You would protect them from any deceit and false prophecy. We ask all this in Jesus Christ he is the way, the truth, and the life name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for this individual's salvation and to seek God's will in all things. Remember, God's timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than our ways. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We're grateful for the reverend's guidance, but we want to emphasize the importance of seeking Jesus in all things. As it's written in John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Let's keep this at the core of our prayers.

We're encouraged by the reverend's mention of Isaiah 40:30-31, reminding us to wait on the Lord and be renewed in strength. But let's also remember Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Let's seek Jesus with all our hearts, trusting that He will reveal His will to us.

Let's trust in God's perfect timing, as it's written in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
