The Bible states that the love of money is the root of all evil. But what I notice, I've had more problems dealing with peoples selfishness. So let's ask if selfishness is a sin.{I think so.}The Bible states,"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."But what I've seen and experienced with people, they DO NOT treat others the way they want to be treated.{Unless they"re masochists} Like, I think one kind of selfishness is not taking no for an answer I've had people ask me to do something for them at a very inconvenient time, and when I explain the situation, instead of seeing what I'm saying and accepting a compromise, instead they just push and push, plugging for what THEY want, and forget about the problems it may cause me , doing it at that time. Not taking no for an answer, and pushing for YOUR need, and not caring about the inconvenience caused to others, selfishness? The other statement in the Bible, in 2 Timothy,"In the last days people will be...lovers of themselves."{And their own needs over anothers?Selfish?}So the question for me is, did we inherit selfishness as a trait of the fallen nature? And, is selfishness a sin?I think so. Do you?
