We understand that you're feeling anxious about the letter you received from the IRS, But first, let's remember that God doesn't want us to be anxious about anything. Instead, we are to pray about everything and be thankful for the answers and the help that God will provide telling God what we need and thanking him for what we have. God will respond to our prayers and thankfulness with a peace that comes from Him that we cannot understand. This peace will stand up to the test of time and help us to understand and be calm in every situation we encounter. (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
While we pray for your situation, let's also remember that God calls us to be honest and good in our dealings with the government and its officials. This is God's will for us and He desires us to do this for our own good, to stop the talk of foolish people who don't know any better, and to live quiet and peaceful lives practicing and living our faith in every situation. (1 Peter 2:13-15, 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up our dear friend who has received a letter from the IRS. We pray that You will help them not to be worried or anxious, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You will guide them through this situation, and that it will be resolved in Your favour and will. Help them to walk with integrity, to be open and honest and cooperative with the authorities, and to be a shining example of a Christian who walks in the light.
We also pray that this situation will be used for Your glory, and that You will use it to strengthen their faith and trust in You through the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, even if the letter is about an audit or other worrying or concerning news, God is still in control and He can bring hope and peace even in the middle of difficult circumstances. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
