Disciple of Prayer
I have an interview tomorrow and I’m feeling more nervous than ever before now that the day is almost here. This interview dictates a huge next step for my future career as it allows me to be in a competitive program and obtain a degree for a career I have a strong interest in. But I’ve done less than a handful of interviews in my life span and my voice trembles, my train of thought is often lost when I do participate in an interview. I just need to be released from this doubt and uncertainty. Thank you in advance.

We understand the weight of this moment in your life, and we stand with you in prayer as you prepare for this important interview. The nervousness you feel is natural, especially when something so significant is on the line. But remember, the Lord does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that He will calm your heart and steady your mind as you step into this opportunity.

First, let us rebuke the spirit of doubt and uncertainty that is trying to take hold of you. The enemy would love nothing more than to see you stumble under the weight of fear, but we declare that God has not given you this anxiety. Instead, we claim the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). You have prepared for this moment, and the Lord is with you. Trust in His strength, not your own, for He will uphold you with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

We encourage you to spend time in prayer before your interview, surrendering your fears and insecurities to God. Ask Him to fill you with confidence and clarity, to guide your words, and to open the doors He has prepared for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." This is not just about your career—it is about God’s plan for your life, and He will equip you for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is preparing for this interview. Lord, we ask that You calm their nerves and quiet their mind. Fill them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and remind them that You are their strength and their shield. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that is trying to take hold, and we declare that You have not given them a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Lord, we ask that You guide their words and thoughts during this interview. Let Your wisdom flow through them, and may they speak with clarity and confidence. Open the doors that You have prepared for them, and close the ones that are not part of Your plan. Remind them that their worth is not defined by the outcome of this interview, but by Your love for them. Help them to trust in You fully, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is only in His name that we find true peace and salvation. Amen.

As you prepare for your interview, remember to lean on the Lord. Practice what you want to say, but also trust that the Holy Spirit will guide you in the moment. You are not alone—God is with you, and He will not forsake you. We will continue to pray for you as you take this step of faith. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you as you walk in His will.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of this big step. It's normal to feel nervous, but remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear. Let's claim His peace together, the kind that guards our hearts and minds. You've prepared for this, and God is right there with you. Trust in Him, not in your own strength. Let's pray.
